So after our brief isometric interlude I'm back to the modular Frozen Dungeon - I still have a few chambers to go on this before I will rise once more above ground.
"This round chamber was once a burial room for a fallen champion in centuries long forgotten. Over the hundreds of years since being laid to rest and sealed within this room it's suffered two attempts to gain access to any treasures that might be within. The first would be grave robbers set off a trap, causing an explosion to rock the room and a river to form through the centre of the chamber, washing them away with it.
After the river formed the room was once more forgotten and in the years since the dungeon has become chilled by means unknown and the once flowing river has frozen solid.
Most recently a party of historian Mages have stumbled across the chamber and, having successfully bypassed the traps once set, have started to research the room. They hope to find out who was buried here, any information on the civilisation they where apart of, and what powerful items might be found in this or other chambers within the sprawling dungeon."
This is just my idea behind the room and what the players would find within it, will they be drawn by possible magic items of power and kill the mages? ... Probably. But they might also attempt to barter with or aid the mages in their quest to learn the history of this place.
