I've always liked Kirk and I can't stand Ross. In The Good Place when Michael asked 'do all the Friends belong in Hell?', I said 'only one'. I think Ross should know better than to do his (deeply, imo) problematic stuff. But Kirk seems charmingly naive.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned but Charles from Angel got his surname from Sean (Kirk) and James Gunn. Joss Whedon named that character after them. Sean was even in 2 episodes of the first season of Angel. I think he played one of Doyle’s demon family members in Hero. Kirk is a lovable character, as you will see. I agree he is kind of a Ross Geller with the annoying, borderline problematic traits filtered out 😂
