To stephs question about granblue's lore/story, it looks like granblue had a browser based rpg as the first game, and a mobile rpg and anime as well, which is where the missing story bits come from, most of which never released in english. There is an actual console rpg releasing in january, after being in development hell for ages. I'll have to look into it, it's an IP i've almost entirely ignored, especially as I don't really play fighting games. Versus sure looks pretty though, and I did like what little I played of the persona fighting game arc system works did, so I might give it a shot.
