Well, think about it. GamersTM want their nice tidy echo chamber that feeds their egos and game publishers are used to controlling the narrative to grant their devoted minions exactly that. Break the illusion and you earn the ire of both parties. That goes for journalists, critics, and anyone else capable of making an observation on objective reality.

I have no issue with them say, reporting the leak details or their 'pirate Metroid dread' article that got them in hot water with nintendo. What I don't like is their whiny attitude where they apparantly want to both be able to spit in Nintendo's eye and keep a working relationship with them to get review copies/invites to preview events etc. If you want to put a thumb in Nintendo's eye and stand up against the crappy things they've done go for it, but don't whine about the consequences of it after the fact with cringy tweets.
