My personal opinion: Isaac shouldn't talk in Dead Space because it wrecks the feeling of playing as a horror movie slasher. I mean just look at Isaac. Heavy industrial look. Might as well be wearing a hockey mask. Chopping off limbs with industrial tools and buzz saws. He's a slasher villain. It's like if Jason Voorhees landed in Silent Hill.
