Spyro Reignited Trilogy - Relight My Fire (Jimpressions)
🕑 Added 2018-11-13 18:04:19 +0000 UTC Spyro Reignited Trilogy is out, which means nothing else matters. A rarity, in that it's an Activision release without a nasty predatory catch, Spyro is a ton of fun and it's held up incredibly well!

Ah, there's Activision's shittiness: <a href="https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/11/spyro-remaster-skips-subtitles-leaves-hard-of-hearing-gamers-in-the-cold/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/11/spyro-remaster-skips-subtitles-leaves-hard-of-hearing-gamers-in-the-cold/</a>

I wonder why the Crash + Spyro combo is $59.99 for discs (Newegg) and $74.99 for digital...
I just got the game and I love it!! There is one little detail I really like, your controller light is the same color as Sparx... its brilliant

I am delighted that a remaster came out well for the modern era and that you enjoyed the game Jim. Nice to see good games getting the spotlight. Very surprising that Activision did not screw the pooch on this one although who knows if they would do something sinster after the game's launch like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4?

Now that's a pleasant surprise. Big and pleasant. The game looks absolutely lovely too, especially all the character animations. Didn't really spare it any thought before but I'll probably have to get that now. Damn you, Jim.
Stayed up until after midnight to play this as soon as it came out, because it felt like a shot of nostalgia directly into my brain.
