Progress of the update and predicted release date!
🕑 Added 2024-11-29 22:48:09 +0000 UTCTime for another progress report. Here's some cool things we finished this month.
New dress
The second dress we promised in previous reports is now complete and implemented in all the scenes. It looks cool!
Hair
New hair system is now fully implemented. There's a separate menu in the "Equipment" screen where you can easily modify all the hair. There's even a little help button with explanations of how it works, but I think it's relatively simple to understand.
The update has 5 hairstyle items.
3 of them are full hairstyles with multiple parts you can toggle:
Default (Ahoge, Front, Side, Back, Braid)
Hime Cut(Front, Side, Back)
Clothier (Ahoge, Front, Side, Back)
2 of them are standalone items:
Ponytail
Eyecovering Bang
You can really achieve many different looks with just those items. The bigger areas of the new hair will also make it easier for modders to directly use.
Also the old "Rainbow", "Galaxy" and "Fourth Dimension" hair are now called "Augmentations" and affect the whole hairstyle for even more variety.
I also added a new way to easier change colors of the items. There's a separate menu where you can see the changes in real time and also easily copy colors from the "Non hypercamo" items.
All the new hairstyles also have a nicely rigged physics of course!
Story
A lot of the work this months has been towards the story. This update has new dates, new events related to the new cooking system and also a bunch of story related to the "join us" organization and more. This is likely the biggest event if it comes to the amount of story yet.

There also are some changes to the prologue of the game.
The prologue now gets some new visuals thanks to the new status app.
You are also no longer forced to start the stream after the prologue. This means a completely no streaming run is now possible. This required going back to old events and changing some small things here and there.
Also to balance things and make beginning of the game more interesting the game will now start with two random limbs!

We plan to start early subscribers-only testing around the 17th of December(We will announce on our discord when that starts). Full release for all subscribers will happen couple days after that after the major bugs are caught.

So I'm new to the game, and the optional nature of streaming caused me to get locked out of doing so. Being so far along in this playthrough, I'd love the option to reactivate anon's cocktwitch account. Not sure if it'd involve a lot of work to add this option, but if not it'd be really nice to tack it onto the next update! I'd hate to use a whole poll item for this, but I imagine there are others too who roleplayed a slower relationship but still want this element of gameplay later in the playthrough.

I will think about it. The idea is that having the limbs earlier will make the early game a bit more interesting. It will teach people early about how the equipment works and show them the potential. From the lore pov it'd be weird for Anon to not pick up the limbs. If he doesn't do it someone else will. It could be kind of a meta choice of "hard start(no limbs)" vs "easy start(you found limbs)" maybe. I will consider it.

FWIW I would strongly prefer no starting limbs, or at most have it be one starting limb, or at the least make it an option on game start. I love building the bot from absolute scratch and the progress from each purchase. Otherwise very exciting update!
