🕑 Added 2024-08-27 05:00:04 +0000 UTCMany of the Little Witch videos tend to focus on mental health awareness to a certain degree, but the Rune Witch video definitely leaned the heaviest into it, I think for the better. Due to her specialty, the Rune Witch offers the POV glasses that allow them to physically see the emotions of others. When making this Witch, I imagined her as one of the oldest and wisest ones, a master of her craft but content to work in her shop filling out orders for customers. She talks to the POV about how everyone has good days and bad days, and I'd imagine with a Witches lifespan she's had her fill of both. Offering someone glasses that let's them see emotions can definitely be a double-edged sword for the viewer and viewee, but I like to think she saw something in the POV that enabled her to place her full and unconditional trust with such magical tech. As mentioned in the previous videos, the Witches shops occupy a dimension in between time and space, so in finding them, you are as special as it gets!
So, I really love the Southern Witch! She's super down to earth and it gave me a great reason to whip out a southern accent. In a lot of ways, this video is a continuation of the themes present in the Rune Witch video. I also tried out a couple of triggers I hadn't done before, which included Inkblot tests and asking personal questions. Since my videos are so heavily narrative-based, I only like to include triggers if they make sense for what the character is asking of the POV or if I can fit them in while feeling natural. The inkblot stuff was super fun so I'm sure that'll pop up again down the road, and I did end up bringing back the personal questions trigger in the Talk Show video!
However! Not all Witch videos will be like this! I've flirted with the idea of making some of them a little more narrative-based, so expect the Witch series to have an ever-changing format with different themes popping up!

Glad you liked her! I wanted her to feel as welcoming as possible, like that aunt or parental figure you could talk to about anything and know you’d come away feeling positive about yourself!

Loved the rune witch. She just kind of has that personality that instantly relaxes you. She just gives off the vibe of just being a chill and grounded person.

In many ways the Southern Witch is an evolution of my first character on the channel, Southern Cousin. I don't do the Southern characters too often but I think it's one of the more relaxing dialects on the channel. If you haven't seen it, you may enjoy "Southern Cousin visit's you for the holiday's" or "POV pampering you before bedtime" for a similar cozy southern vibe!
