Ninja Caves Map Pack!
🕑 Added 2025-07-28 02:57:39 +0000 UTCWelcome to the Ninja Caves, a hidden lair of ninja that is designed to pair with the recently released Jade Village map.
These Ninja Caves could exist behind any waterfall in your homebrew or campaign world, and features several different areas to use for social, combat or espionage encounters. A large cave behind the waterfall contains a few crates and boxes, chairs and table -- enough to show the presence of some entity, though not enough to give away exactly who or what may lair there beyond a heavy sealed gate.

The Ninja Caves were designed with the Jade Village map in mind, and here is an overlay of this new map atop the Jade Village map:
The caves contain 8 main areas on the interior:
Cave Mouth - the entry to this lair is a large cave mouth behind the waterfall, where a few crates and barrels exist, alongside a table and chairs. A heavy iron gate bars entry past this point to the north and east.
Mission Cave - a massive cave to the east provides training grounds for the ninja to practice approaching a lit straw hut with a few guards, learning to utilize the shadows, environment and angles of attack, often against other ninja trying to do the same.
Training Grounds - north of the cave mouth is a large cavern filled with a large sparring mat, raised parallel walkways and rising wooden platforms at various heights upon which to train. Small caves dot the northern edge of the cavern, large enough for ninja to hide or sleep.
Officers Camp - a small collection of tents in this massive cave system provide homes for some of the senior officers in the clan, as well as guards that operate mainly in the cave.
Prison - this narrow corridor within the cave has been walled off at either end and filled with garbage and straw beds for prisoners.
Target Range - this section of the corridor features three large bales of straw and a wooden table covered in shuriken for target practice.
Ninja's Forge - a large forge lay here, where a blacksmith forges most of the ninja's weapons and equipment.
Leader's Office - this large office is home to the leader of the ninja clan, a powerful Shadow Dragon that often operates as a polymorphed Oni. A large tunnel descends toward the Underdark, while bookshelves, chests, treasure and other items of interest litter the chamber.

Are you wanting to print it out? Otherwise, I would probably make the Ninja cave a tile or level change vs. the main map, so you can switch more seamlessly without having it represented on the same space. It would probably be a bit too apparent if you used one with the interior map overlaid against the village map?
