Morvold Fantasy Art Gallery Update - the UNDEAD!
🕑 Added 2024-10-04 04:33:50 +0000 UTCIn January, I began an initiative to create a Fantasy Art Gallery comprised of 100% human-made artwork to begin populating a gallery that could be used by DM's and Players to find inspiration and use for their personal, home games.
In September, I ended up commissioning about 30 artists for this month's collection, who were given the same theme of - "the Undead".
NOTE - If you're a Free Patron and would like to help me commission and support human artists, I'd love your support to continue funding projects like this!
I LOVED all of the submissions and working with all of the talented artists on this list.
The artists whose pieces are pictured below are:

The permanent website for these is being developed, but until that resource is available, I am going to be keeping the images here for everyone to be able to view and access.
LICENSING NOTE
All image rights are owned by the individual artist and I have licensed these images to be used in a Fantasy Art Gallery that can be used by anyone for their own personal and private games.
They cannot be used commercially, unless you want to contact the artist and discuss licensing independently.
My plan is to do a new round each month and slowly build out a large repository of fantasy art for people to use that will encourage and support human artists vs. AI art. Even though I use AI images for concept work, I still feel very strongly that human artists should be kept in the loop and used/supported, especially for commercial work.
I hope you guys enjoy it, and would love your support (if I don't have it already) to continue bringing you more!

I must have misunderstood what you meant on the "OctoberTheme.jpg" file then. On there, it says "Fantasy Art Gallery Theme - UNDEAD", and I thought you meant that you were going to commission undead work for October that would be for November (The whole planning this month for what to show next month always confuses me). Thanks for clarifying and sharing next month's theme! I love Pirate themes and have been really enjoying seeing all the amazing art that's come of this venture! Just curious, do you know any other creators who are doing something similar? You're getting a pretty good spread of art, but always interested in seeing what other people are doing as well.

I did Undead for September so it could be released in October and ready well in time for Halloween. This months theme, which will be ready by November will be Pirates and Nautical themes!

Thanks for doing this every month! I've discovered some amazing artists (and got my very first 2 commissioned pieces!) because of this gallery that you do every month. These artists display so much talent and such a range of styles, it's incredible! Personally, I like the ones that are more realistic and this is a great way to discover people with that particular style. Sounds like you're doing Undead again for October. Wish you'd done a different theme for September and let October be Undead instead but great art nonetheless.

Amazing, doing an undead campaign arc now, time to work in as many of these as I can 👍
