The psychologist and a nervous-looking refugee emerged and immediately became the focus of attention, which took some of the heat off me at Lupita's expense. Karen's embarrassment increased when her colleague raised an eyebrow at my aunt's state of dishabille.
Miss Carla stepped in to make introductions before either could say a word.
"Ladies, this is Dr. Chanda Ramakrishnan and Maria Guadalupe Hidalgo Garcia Mojica, who goes by Lupita," the security lady said as the newcomers took their seats, which just happened to be on either side of me as Marie and Jo scooted over to make room. "They'll be helping at the women's shelter when the other residents arrive."
"It won't just be us?" Rhonda's mom asked as Lupita scooted close enough to lean against me.
"We have 16 high school girls coming from Matamoros," Miss Carla said. "You'll need help in feeding them. Lupita attended school with most of them and has helped cook for larger groups. Dr. Ramakrishnan will be the staff therapist."
"So, she's not a medical doctor?" Mrs. Stirling asked.
"I'm a psychologist and a licensed therapist," Chanda said as she put slices of turkey breast on her plate from the pan on the table. "We're making arrangements for their healthcare."
"Is Gary paying for this, too?" Riley's mom asked.
"The 320 Foundation, a philanthropic organization, is," Grandma said. "Gary is not involved with the shelter."
Other than, ya know, coming up with the idea, funding the foundation with stolen cartel money, finding the site and a few other details.
"And Lupita is also one of Gary's Girls?" Mrs. Aguilar asked, noting how she maintained physical contact.
"Not yet," Arlene said. "That's one of the things we need to decide, but she's determined to serve the man who rescued her."
"She's been waiting for him to claim her since she got here a week ago," Marie offered. "If it hadn't been for that stomach bug and her period, she probably would have jumped him by now."

"How many girls has he rescued?" Bonnie's mom asked.
"At least four who are in attendance," Arlene said, giving me an enigmatic look. "I've heard tales of others."
"Sounds like White Knight Syndrome to me," Mrs. Ensberry snorted.
"Not officially," Dr. Ramakrishnan said. "Gary exhibits none of the classic symptoms, but I do want to visit with him privately when we have time. He keeps finding himself in ... unusual circumstances."
"And reaping the hero's reward," Arlene muttered.
"What was I supposed to do?" I asked. "I saw someone in trouble and was in a position to help. It's not like I go looking for them or expect anything in return. What if it had been one of your daughters?"
"It was," at least three women said — was Rhonda's mom really in that group? — as Bonnie and Staci nodded in agreement.
"Lupita was trained to serve El Patron," Grandma said. "My husband, somewhat foolishly, identified Gary by that title — which Gary seems determined to live up to — after the original ran afoul of Tri-Star. It seems her grandmother was somehow indebted to a cartel and was willing to use the girl as payment."
"Lupita and the other girls we're expecting were 'educated' at a school we have determined to be a front for a white slavery ring," Miss Carla said, eliciting gasps from most of our guests. "I hesitate to say they were brainwashed, but they were certainly indoctrinated. Dr. Ramakrishnan told us the younger girls, basically high school freshmen, may not have undergone as high a degree as the older ones, the juniors and seniors. We won't know for sure until she can interview all of them. Some of those girls had been there for three or four years."
"Can I help?" Jo asked, surprising the hell out of me. "It sounds like you'll need at least one certified teacher and I have to do something. I'm accredited in most core subjects. And we could use dance for their PE credit."
"That's an idea worth pursuing," Meredith said thoughtfully, scribbling on a notepad. "We'll discuss it more after we finish lunch."
Which most of us had. Almost all of the women and girls had moved on to the desserts, which received rave reviews (I was too busy goin' to town on nanner puddin' to comment), while Lupita ate quickly and Dr. Ramakrishnan daintily. I went to reclaim my laptop and backpack — I wasn't leaving here without them — assuring Lupita I'd be right back as the girls except for Rhonda and her sister gathered around her. She seemed overwhelmed by the attention, but did her best to answer their questions. Erin Aguilar helped translate both ways and offered Lupita prompts when struggling to find the right word.
Through it all, Lupita stressed her devotion to El Patron, earning me some significant looks from the other girls. I hardly noticed Dr. Ramakrishnan leaving with Jo and Karen, who still had her tits hanging out, to discuss something with Grandma, Meredith and Miss Carla.
One exchange I didn't understand at the time (and still don't, really) was when Midori — I was still trying to wrap my brain around her inclusion — stepped forward, took Lupita's hand and stared into her eyes. "Gary better take his vitamins," Ny'Quesha snorted. "They gonna use him up!"
"Not until I get my turn," Elise grumbled.
"What she said," Riley added.
"This is based on what happened at your farm last week, isn't it?" Morgan asked, giving me a nudge and totally changing the subject. "What did you mean by this?"
"Huh? What?" I asked, leaning over to see she had my story about Billy Bob and Katya on the screen.
"What do you mean by problem solver?" my first official girlfriend asked me.
"You know, a troubleshooter, a fixer," I said. "Someone who takes care of inconvenient situations."
She continued to read, getting to the part where Katya found the cache of guns before it clicked.
"Lupita, you're not an assassin, are you?" Morgan asked quietly.
At Lupita's confused look, my first official girlfriend made the gun gesture with forefinger and thumb, placing the "barrel" against my temple and pulling the "trigger" with a little "ka-pow" sound effect.
"¡¡¡No, no, no, no, no!!!" Lupita swore, waving her hands in front of her with a horrified expression on her face. "¡No soy una asesina! ¡Soy una cocinera! La cocinera del Patron."
The last part was said pleadingly with big puppy-dog eyes directed at me. She'd been around my girlfriends maybe three hours and almost had the big-eyed adorable look down pat. I'd better watch myself around her.
"What'd she say?" Bethany asked.
"She's a cook, not an assassin," I said. "Morgan, would you please put your 'gun' away before it really does make a hole in my head?"
"Oh, sorry," the little elf blushed, quickly pulling her hand back.
Some of the other girls read over Morgan's shoulder, giving me generally favorable reviews. Until the end.
"It just cuts off in the middle of a sentence," Staci complained. "'Billy Bob developed an all-over tan. Except for the ...' Then it just ends. Except for what?"
Oh, God. Had I really left that in? I meant to delete that last sentence before I turned the story in to Mrs. Cohen.
"Except for what?" Sherry insisted.
I looked up to see almost 20 very pretty faces staring at me intently. They wanted an answer and had me outnumbered.
I noticed Bonnie, Midori and Erin now sported chokers and pendants on their pretty throats. All I could think of was how the hell had I acquired even more girlfriends out of this. At least Shaneece wasn't similarly attired, but she was also very pretty and still stared intently.
"Except for what?" Morgan repeated, adding a rather sharp elbow to my ribs.
"Except for the two Katya-sized handprints on his butt," I mumbled, my face a bright crimson.
Bethany was the first to get it, her spit take almost spraying the girls near her. Erin was quietly explaining the joke to Lupita, who turned almost as scarlet as me when she got it. All I caught was something about manos.
"¡Patron!" Lupita barked admonishingly, bopping me on the arm. "¡Eres travieso!"
"You have no idea," Erin smirked.
"But you never mentioned her finding him attractive, though," Kacie said. "For all we know, it wasn't even consensual."
"Do you think I'd write something like that for a class assignment?" I snapped.
"You did for that Donnie character," Riley smirked.
OK, she had me there. But it was meant to be taken humorously. All those busty villainesses (and the commandos who went commando) had tried to do the same to Donnie Darkner first.
"It's fiction," I said. "I did plan out a scene where they'd bond on the road, along with one of him helping her deal with the Russians, but I ran out of time. I was nearly triple the assigned wordcount already and could have probably written another thousand words just on those parts."
"You should, anyway," Rhonda said from behind me, startling the shit out of me. "I'd like to see how you handle a strong female character."
"I thought Aranella was a strong character," Marie said. "She was raised to rule an empire, led a rebel army and negotiated all those alliances. Addie worked undercover in the midst of the enemy for years. Even Lilith the demon queen had to be strong."

"Oh, shoot," Morgan said when my laptop beeped its low-power warning. "We need to plug this in. Where's your power cord?"

Marie was back in a trice, which seemed to be the signal for Riley to make her move.
"You never gave me that footrub," she said, setting off titters from the girls who knew. "I'm almost done, but I had some really bad cramps the last few days. I think the pressure of test week made it worse."
"Where can we do this?" I asked. "I think the only thing worse than your mom seeing us sneak off is her seeing me give you one here on the patio."
"Jed's room is just a few steps away," Morgan said. "You go now, Gary. Riley can follow when her mom isn't looking."
Yeah, that'll work out great, I thought. But the woman hadn't killed me the instant her daughter admitted to wanting to have a child with me, so maybe I stood a chance here.
I got up and walked straight to Jed's room without looking back. I had just enough time to make sure the French windows were securely closed when Riley stepped into the room, closing the door behind her.
"What do I do?" she asked timidly.
"Take a seat on the bed, kick off your shoes and get comfortable," I said.
The girl looked a tad disappointed that was all there was to it, but it wasn't like I was going to bone her right this instant. That could wait, but I didn't think it would be long now. Riley had relaxed considerably around me in recent weeks and she was, as Marie had pointed out, 18. It would happen when it happened.

"Good job with Karen out there," she whispered. "I just hope she doesn't take it as a challenge and do something even more outrageous. I'd hate for you to have to strip her to her underwear if she misbehaves again."
"Yes, ma'am," I stuttered, wondering how my grandmother would feel about me giving her youngest a bare-bottomed spanking in public if she hadn't learned her lesson. "Would you please make sure she buttons up before coming over?"
Much against my expectations of an hour or so ago, I was leaving Arlene's house not only alive, but with all my body parts still attached.

I’m thinking her father was abusive to her and her mother, hence the TriStar protection. But I’m also betting her father is a dom who was involved with some criminal elements and recently taken off the stage because of Gary’s actions, without Gary knowing about the second and third order effects his actions had on Rhonda and her family. Definitely some very amusing moments in here. Morgan asking Lupita if she was an assassin and her vehement denial were pretty funny. I was also very amused by how Karen still had her tits out and how Gary's grandmother actually praised him for how he handled her. And let's not for Gary having to explain how he originally ended the story. I think that the relationship with Riley definitely got some decent progression. Same with the girls that just got new chokers. Other things I liked included how the subject of Gary possibly having a white night syndrome and Chanda debunking it as well as the fact that some of the daughters of the women in present were actually saved by him. Not exactly sure what's up with Lupita and Midori so I hope that gets cleared up sooner than later. All I know I have to say that this felt like quite the meaty chapter despite not exactly being the longest you've written. But then again I should not be surprised considering how a chapter dealing with Gary's relationships and all the women being present was bound to be big and substance if not in length.

Rhonda is a bit of a wild card, sometimes she is civil and almost nice to Gary and others she acts like he is the devil spawn!!!
