Is there even a sword trainer for her in this village ? She learned the Axe from her Dad and the Hammer from her Master. She will need to ask one of the mercenaries who accompany the merchants.

E C

You didn't happen to mean next Sunday, eh?

Matt S.

Read the author's note at the end of the chapter. Most likely Sunday.

Darastrix

Mr author when is the next chapter coming?

Dave_S

great chapter! can't wait to see some magical crafting ;)

Matt S.

Love the crafting!! Can't wait for her to break through the bottleneck in smithing and practice sword fighting with her katana. I wonder how she'll make the Tsuba (guard) and scabbard. The Tsuba is usually very fancy with engravings, maybe she can use that as practice for engraving needed in enchanting or something. The scabbard... I don't really think she has the right skills to make one at the moment?

Robert Mullins

Ready when you are, captain.

Nick

Thanks for the chapter. Eagerly awaiting the next :)

epic crafting for the win. =D

Glad to see her stepping up for the village - 4 things I hope we'll see (or hear referenced in passing as having happened): 1. Grabbing Roland and making him tell his strength (to know proper draw stength of bow), plusses and minuses of his current bow, what archery skills he has that she could potentially enhance with better equipment, as well as what better archery skills he knows of that his current relatively poor equipment doesn't allow him to learn. 2. Getting together with Camden to organize a proper militia and skill grinding training 1 day / wk minimum (1 day + 1hr each other day?), especially with the survivors. Likely to trigger leadership skills too as a nice bonus, especially with her suddenly higher social standing. 3. 'Daddy, don't you want to be able to protect your little girl and your neighbors?'... followed by evil gleam in her eyes and brutal training schedule to raise up Dad, with additional cross training from Mom - time for Darrius to learn to cook, clean, sew, and bargain. 4. 'Mommy, don't you want to be able to protect yourself well enough that Daddy and I don't have to risk our lives and others to make sure you're safe if something goes wrong?' - same evil glint, also cross training from Dad. Time for Mom to learn the axe and cutting down trees, plus forestry related skills. Also able to help with mining as work on ax skills. </$.02>

Flamming Katana seems like a cool weapon. Now she just needs to master flash step and she can go full anime on some monsters.

Waist should be waste in multiple instances here. Waist is a specific part of the body, whereas waste is the result of poor resource management.

MadGod

I can only assume the existence of skills, stats and magic materials will overcome the inherent advantage spears would have over swords in the real world. That said if you're talking about sword efficiency the flamberge is the undisputed winner in both cutting ability and ease of use. The only reason they were unpopular despite their usefulness is that they're an enormous pain to both craft and maintain.

Not the katana trope! *Shrieks in literature induced agony*

Loving the crafting chapters!

Woot! Thanks for the chapter:-)

Time for some epic crafting, can't wait for the next chapter

Thanks! :)

spears are more dangerous than swords with equal training but if someone were to insist on a sword, I would suggest something like a cutlass with a basket hilt. You wear a leather glove to protect your hand from the basket and it gives you a blade that is a bit more forgiving, has the ability to thrust and hack, ring someones chimes with the hand guard and typically a steel ball at the bottom which will crack a skull. My 2 cents. Better for use on enemies that want to get up close to you. ;-)

Good stuff, thanks!

Noticed a couple. Mater -> Master. Wielding -> welding. Also the merchant's name had an extra letter I think, but I can't remember what the typo is and mobile patreon doesn't really let me look back up.

Ungrave

Thanks for the crafting chapter!

MadGod

Finally!
