Oskatat

Since I just reread the entire story and enjoyed it immensely, I figured I should support you in more than just the occasional comment on RR now my budget allows me to do so. Also wondering if you need any help cleaning up the early chapters or if you've got them edited already. On RR there are some very clear errors and I'd like to help you polish this gem, if you want.

Thundermike00

Looks like there won’t be a time skip anytime soon.

HardhatDoozer

Great chapter. Looks like the re-read of Pacore and friends has helped focus your direction for the next arc. Thanks for the chapter. Aaliyah just has to finish her armour before she is read for a high magic exploration trip. Sounds like Tabitha wouldn’t be opposed.

Carl Mason

That gets into more of a cut-scene flashback, which would be interesting to see but was not appropriate for what was happening.

Lorraine V

Loved it

ShadowOfHavoc

This is definitely a magic Smithing chapter. You nailed the delivery of Tabitha's experience and story of the dragon. It legitimately sounded like what I would expect a quick explanation of a battle from a vet would sound like. If you wanted to make it more believable you would have to tell it from her perspective, talk about the smells and the sounds of battling the dragon.

Carl Mason

A little blob of the spider carapace, shaped into a feather-ish shape.

Blake Richardson

Thanks for the chapter

Bable Zmith

Now that is how you show depth and exposition in detail. Very Cool.

Kyfe

I could see Aaliyah sporting one of the gnarled fingers of the Soul Devouring monster: "That's not a feather, what the hell is that from." "Some level 200ish Demon." "..."

Barrett Hess

I'm interested in the bits that will happen before leaving the village. Honestly, though? I'm most excited about the trip to Scholl and that whole arc. So many opportunities for our girl to shine!

epoeck

Wow, I had a lot of doubts about this New arc. But now I'm looking forward to Scholl.

Steven Palmer

I absolutely love this chapter, I cannot imagine the trouble you went through for the dialogue though. Trying to right now darlog is quite challenging for me. I'm more of a world builder

Mist of Shadows

It was a nice way to explain the part about the dragon in a way that makes us believe they tried before they decided to take land. Doesn't change the fact that they did, but it does make it more understandable, especially as it sounds like it wasn't a token effort or yeah... damn, that's high level, we're walking.

Straven

Agreed, good building of the culture she's heading towards soon

Alex Galaitsis

Love it! Really sets the stage for where Aaliyah and the story are going.

Straven

That was pretty darn good, the showing of actual thoughts/attitudes from some at certain stages of drink was entertaining to put it lightly and I honestly enjoyed seeing our battle lady open up some even if someone damn near got killed for it! Thank you for the great chapter.

Håkan Friberg

Some none intentional spelling mistakes and agro-ing, sounds like a word or MC brought with her from Earth and not the local slang? Else it was nice, thank you very much!

White Neko Knight

The thing is she doesn't have any real metrology knowledge from her past life besides carbon+iron==steel. Everything she's made she's learned on her own or taken from fiction and fiction often ends up being wrong. "Modern blacksmithing" is purely metrology. Everything else, power hammers, intense heat, and the like can easily be compensated with skills. You can't kill an aircraft carrier with an arrow fired by a railgun. For that same reason, you can't kill a Dragon with an arrow fired by someone with too low a class. Her blacksmithing is purely in world, and is only boosted to such high levels because of her drive and imagination, which is otherworldly. None of it is really based on modern science.

Thundermike00

With her other world ability of modern blacksmith and magic smithing on top of that. Couldn’t she just make some op arrow that can go through the dragons body and be able to explode inside the dragon? Then make multiple of these kinds of arrows and just kill the dragon or make it run for the hills??

Erriballon

I loved it honestly gave me a reason to like Tabatha

White Neko Knight

I'm reading this while intoxicated as Aaliyah, yay SP day. I didn't find anything annoying with her speech. Honestly, this is probably one of your better chapters, thank you for it. If anything I'm more surprised that she didn't mention anything about her previous life while drunk off her ass. This was a great lore dump IMO and really tugged on the heartstrings. The only person I sympathize with on the side of the Village's original nation is the General, and this chapter really got me rooting for Scholl. Overall this chapter is a 10/10. The only complaint I have is the extra g in this paragraph. "That, or they’re imprisoned,” Tabitha continues after a long pause. “It is illegal to wear a feather if you aren’t strong g enough.”

Carl Mason

I love it. It feels good, reads well, makes a good image of the festival and the people in attendance.

Derun

I think you did a good job on this chapter. It feels true to the characters while also giving us information and helping develop relationships between the characters.

Aclys

I too enjoyed the chapter, the dialogue felt 'real' and natural to me.

abowden

As long as they don't poison the lake in the process! It's high vitality would be a problem though. Despite it's 'weakness' to poison, it's ridiculous level of vitality will go a long way to mitigating said 'weakness'.

abowden

Yes, that would no doubt get her a lot of exp. But she'd need to get strong enough to kill it first. So I think there's a few expeditions and training arcs in her future before she does that.

Andrew

It seems appropriate and I enjoyed it. Thank you!

Thundermike00

Can’t Aaliyah Use her soul devouring ability on the dragon?

agentjongon

Cool cool, enjoyable to read, thank you

Imspinnennetz

Thanks for the chapter If the dragon is a water based creature, it should be susceptible to poison type attacks. The spiders for example were susceptible to fire because they were wind type monsters.

Owen Wilson

Beautiful chapter, thank you
