got milk?

Hmm I'll admit I hadn't considered that aspect of binding magical deals. Break it and you loose vitality, hell that right there's a clear boost to youth for any greedy JA noble. Darn nice idea/thought there John Smith.

John Smith

About the old contract level-trade thing... Wouldn't people be selling their sick, old grandmas to rich people? I reckon many skill-plateaued middle-agers would pay $$$ for 100 more years of vitality. Food for thought.

Spectacular

Continuity Error: It makes sense why she wouldn't want to talk to me while General Pitz is around; Sentence is written from Master Pacore's PoV, yet One hadn't revealed her gender to him. In fact, you spent a whole bunch of paragraphs explaining how they hide their identity and gender of their voice. I'd suggest swapping "she" for "they." Spelling: And because Sandra and I like to torcher ourselves -> Torture Missing Quotation mark: “Pacore sounds like a legend, Sandra continues.

I seriously love this story. I look forward to each new chapter and can't wait to read them. You are doing an amazing job. I am mixed about what I want her family to do. I can see the advantages and disadvantages of them staying or going with her. I would really like to see her mother go with her because I can see her being a huge help with her life in a new place, especially with all the politics and power plays I imagine are to come. Though I imagine Pacores status as her master would shield her from a lot of people risking trying to get advantages from her. I'm really looking forward to see what direction you go with.

White Neko Knight

She wants to be powerful enough to decide her own destiny.

well from what has been said in the story, the armour has some sort of prottection against seeing true it with mana skils and it shouldn't be possible to see the gem, as Pacore remarked that only one person so far could detect the gem but not find its location. as for Air walk i think he was not suprised by it because he has already seen it and fought against people with it.

David

During the fight with Pacore, he seemed surprised that she could spot the hidden gem in his armor, but not surprised that she could Air Walk. That seems completely backwards. Was any of that ever explained? I assume she can see the hidden gem because she has leveled Sense Mana high enough. Is there another reason? Because that is a low-tier skill and leveling it is not supposed to be difficult compared to leveling Mana Manipulation. And apparently Air Walk requires high-level Mana Manipulation. Which would be surprising in someone as young as Aaliyah. But Pacore was not surprised by that.

Limbus

Why does she want to be a fighter so bad?

Carl Mason

So, I was trying to think up a comment that was cool and intelligent, but I got stuck on Pacore's creepy happiness and thought "this guy is so happy, basically skipping down the forest trail, he may as well be singing." Cut to mental image- Pacore is strutting and dancing down the trail singing loudly and slightly off key " I feel good! Do-do-do-do, I fee~ee~eel good! " points at general Pitz on the jelen, "and you knew that I would, now!" Pitz tried to kick him in the chin. And now I can't get this out of my head.

Ha, that secretary steam rolled pacore ! I enjoy when people knock that pompous asshole down a peg or two. The next chapter is probably going to be contentious, with Aaliyah meeting Tabitha, she sounded like a scoll sycophant.

Timo Immig

She said to Aaliyah. I show you who truely runs this place. and later: “I get that man the best intel he has on the girl, and he threatens me! Does he think I’m afraid of that whore at the front desk!?”

The other DB

I wonder if One is the secretary? It would be a bit cliche and strange that Silver Herd didn't know more about Grays plans. Just a thought with out anything to back it up with. :)

Vyktor

Can't wait for Pacore to see Aaliyah with her fully runed armor going to trash the bad dragon hoarding the cultivable spot 😂 🤜🐉

Melting Sky

Scholl, aside from the whole Dragon problem, seems like an altogether better kingdom to live in as a commoner. I mean just look at the difference in the attitude of their leaders. The kingdom she is currently in is actually pretty awful. The only reason things aren't so bad in their little village is it's so small and remote it's not easy for the local Duke to exert his power onto them. He ignored their plight against the Goblin Horde, tried to draft all the best people in the village including Aaliyah for a suicide mission and taxed the crap out of their crops while offering absolutely nothing in return other than the threat of punishment if they don't oblige. Meanwhile, the Duke runs away and cowers while throwing his subordinates under the bus in his place rather than doing his duty and defending his lands and people himself.

Nobody

It's good to see A's defeat actually mean something. A lot of the time in web novels MCs just breeze past any issues in a chapter or 2 and that structure gets boring quickly and is a big reason for absure power creep in later books/chapters.

CyclopsSlayer

Honestly, It is unlike she can ever beat Pacore. He has years of training and a focus on combat skills. While Aaliyah has no focus, she is a Jack-of-all-trades. Her magic cannot penetrate his armor, so it is wasted points unless she spends MORE there. She may be good at scientific method blacksmithing but is years from reaching dwarven levels. Any direct assault will fail, Pacore I seem to remember was L120ish, Aaliyah only has 50 levels to catch up. Aaliyah will have far better effect attacking the flanks, figure out how to destroy his armor, cancel out his anti-magic, anything other than going blade-to-blade.

SFS

I believe it was also mentioned during the attack on the fort that she might be a strength based build.

Jeff091

thank you for the new chapter

HardhatDoozer

Magicite was available from the local iron mine. So when they run out they just mine more. Easy.

Piotr

Thanks for the chapter, but I cannot shake feeling that Aaliyah part was filler-ish. Suddenly checking status page after moping seems out of place. Usually person living with system would check status only after something big happen or in kind of review. It's not that big issue, but maybe something to think about later. What grind my gears is part about recipe - it's n-th time when it's presented as complete step by step guide and I am not sure if there is any other purpose than making text longer. It would be completely fine to only mention what was done with last step. Stick with writing numbers with letters: - "Step 1 was mixing the herbs together, step two is heating" -> "Step one was mixing the herbs together, step two is heating" - "Step 3 was the most challenging" -> "Third step was the most challenging" - say ‘not in this life’ but catch - comma As side note - at fist I could not understand why batch of was ruined - I may not be expert, but can Sandra do whole thing without help - how can she work delicately with fire temperature and other quirks? Also, I am sure, but if magicite is that precious and each batch takes ~1.2kg then their whole stock should be spend or running low .

Pecore is still one of the best characters introduced so far. She’ll never beat him if she stays in the village under Del. Her leaving is the best thing for her especially if she wants to learn more and get stronger. I hope she sees that and stops being so stubborn, and takes full advantage of being Pecore’s apprentice.

Todd Kloos

Some things we know about Tabitha: -She is currently Pacore's best student (or at least she was before Aaliyah). -She is the only one of Pacore's students from the current generation that has earned a feather (which I think means she is above level 80). -She uses a sword and shield. -She does not have the same stat distribution as Pacore (so no putting everything in vitality and endurance).

Augustus

Many fear and mental issues are irrational, you are correct in that she can clear grow and beat him but this was as she said the first seemingly insurmountable wall she hit, which would definitely leave a mark.

Todd Kloos

I'm surprised that Aaliyah thought she might never be able to win against Pacore. With her incredible talents and extraordinary rate of growth, it seems like it should be obvious that she would surpass him. Pacore might have a lot of good items, but the fact that he has to rely on those items so much is already a sign of weakness. With the resources Aaliyah will have access to as Pacore's apprentice combined with her growing skills as a blacksmith/enchanter, narrowing the gap in equipment between her and Pacore should not be too difficult.

Thanks for the chapter!! Great stuff. Eagerly awaiting the next. And not to be mean, but seriously? You posted a chapter when you said you would? Fuck that whinger from your last update. You're smashing along awesomely. Keep it up! :D Can't wait to see where this crazy apprenticeship goes. But what about kervin!? Where's he at!? And Reel! Is he getting laid? It sounds like he's probably getting laid.

0xFFF1

Heh, the irony of the fact that it was Pacore's new apprentice that was the one who was turned into a little girl.

Patrick Schuldt

It's in the author notes of chapter 86

Sondadir

Pacore is absolutely not allowed to be so cute ! The part with Aaliyah is much more worrying, I really hope her parents will stop this stubbornness and not follow her to Scholl. Scholl is absolutely not unified and there will be many people who will threaten them there. The village is much safer. Not to mention that it would be quite unfair for Sandra and her husband.

Ungrave

I guess she probably feels like I felt in middle school when I realized my basketball team could beat no one else in our district for reasons none of us could understand. Then we got better. Thanks for the chapter!

Viria

Where can we find the discord's link ?

Jack Trowell

Thanks for the chapter

Stephen Pearson

Thanks for the chapter!

Hunendora

Thank you for the chapter. Cheesy, as you said, but dealing with failure is an important life skill.

Hunendora

Torcher -> torture

SoSpooky

I for one really liked the squiggles at the end of the sentences, really tied the whole thing together.

Vegetables

Thanks for the letters and numbers arranged into words, sentences, paragraphs and chapter. The ending was not cheesy. And even if it was I'd say bring on the pizza.

Timo Immig

Thanks
