Diego Rossi

He is from the science department. He should see the usefulness of the refrigerator and be interested in the other developments Tori is making.

DerWipe

But you have to remember that the current ruler of said Delta is someone from a March and has strong ties with the other marches too

Lou Gar

Heresy! The one true, supreme baked good is Cake!

Mr. Bigglesworth

Oh, snap!

Empty Shelf

That actually makes a ton of sense. People have been so focused on the love interests that they overlooked the side characters. Makes me wonder what "role" Madame Vosse might have had in the original game...

Stylemys

I think that Tori ‘collected’ Southard because she sniped Alessa’s rewards for the mini-game. The other girl was always going to win, but normally Alessa would be the politically connected person with a rapidly developing territory that Southard would want to join. Alessa would have gotten a new baking recipe and a promising new greenhouse specialist in her barony, both with some kind of small game benefit. Southard even has a backstory about includes a family member marrying someone she can’t stand and her escaping an old bully of hers, which Alessa would normally 100% empathize with.

Jim Kelly

I really need a meat pie with some crème puffs for dessert. With coffee. Maybe iced coffee. Now I’m heading to the bakery and it’s raining outside. This story is really tough on my diet

Stylemys

Except that Tori is now a Countess of a separate territory, which technically makes her independent of the March. A debt to the Delta may be more palatable since it’s likely a politically neutral topic at this point and he can pay the debt off by helping with the long term development somehow.

AlyxHaestrom

Unfortunately for Tori, Pie is the supreme form of baked good, reigning above all others. Truly, Wilhelmina knows the one path to greatness lies in flaky, buttery crust and delicious fillings.

Lou Gar

Oh yeah! That would be nice... but would the PM allow him self to be re-appointed, and owe such a debt to a March? He stated that he had to carefully balance that, and not become to dependent on anyone. He might resign instead of allowing that.

Lou Gar

I don't think so... Children of the March always return to their March.

Lou Gar

Yeah, I can see that... or - a partner in petty vengance?

Whale A

She made a Croquembouche and only got second? That meat pie must be amazing. I really want to try it.

MrrC

Actually...I think this is a good time to show the Guthry family (father / mom) that she supports them by being a friend in a time of need. PM is likely to survive but now there can be no doubt that their son is a f*ck up. Cutting off Dimitri's political future while making the current PM owe another debt would be a huge win for Tori

Radosty

Well the PM will not be reelected. His political inependence could already be questioned by any competitor due to the summer rescue. It would be easy to picture him a pawn of the Marches and Duchies. Add the upcoming investigation and that's a political career in shambles.

PlasmaticPi

Her not actually winning and turning this into a recruitment thing is a nice twist to what was expected. And I doubt this will be the last recruitment with how many people she needs for the Delta. As for the Guthry part, this is gonna be spicy. Can't wait to see how Tori ends up involved in it and how Guthry will be punished. Also since he is Prime Minister doesn't that mean its an elected position? If so how much you wanna bet he is eventually gonna choose not to run for re-election and the election is gonna turn into some kind of power struggle between Tori and Alessa? Have there been any characters that would make good Prime Minister candidates? Maybe Kasen since he doesn't have a set role for his future what with Sebastian taking over the March?

PlasmaticPi

Not the main one but probably a side character that comes up every once in a while, mainly to eventually fill the role of being in charge of all the Delta's farming and to take the automated crystal based farming stuff they've been developing to the next level by making modern indoor climate controlled fully automated greenhouses. Which will in turn probably come in handy when some kind of drought or pestilence pops up during the University part of the story in a few years.

Empty Shelf

I'm glad that Tori beat out Alessa, and I'm equally glad she didn't win the contest. That would have been a bit much. On that note, Tori just seems to be collecting talented people like Pokemon. I'm guessing Southard is going to be growing in her greenhouses the fancy foreign foods Tori ultimately acquires. As for Guthry...there's screwing up, and there's screwing up so badly that you potentially bring about the ruination of your family name. If the PM survives, he'll have burnt a lot of political capital, and he doesn't have a lot of that due to Guthry's other screw-ups.

Lou Gar

Huh, wonder if this will be a new member of their group. Also, poor Prime Minister. He sure didn't deserve to have his son ruin his reputation, and cost him his job. I foresee a rescue request coming,.. and pain for Dimitri.

Ulrich seemed pretty suspicious about the crystals

You know you dislike someone when you won't even say there name.

Cymi

Dang Guthry!
