Today I am celebrating a couple of birthdays: The first one is mine (yay! I'm older! 🥳). The second one is this Patreon! Which, if you can believe it, I started up four years ago today.
After that many years (and 642 posts!) I thought it was due time to finally shake things up and upgrade the place a bit. To that end, I'm finally offering something I've wanted to do for a good year or so now: An exclusive mini-print club, right here, for members.
The first mini print will be the above Batgirl Supergirl (and Streaky) drawing! Since I launched this Patreon with a drawing of the three of them, I figured they'd also be a fun start to this new chapter. For the print, I think I'm going to give it a fun simple, spot gloss coating. Should look nice!
MINI PRINT CLUB DETAILS:
- $10 a month (or 10% off annually).
- An EXCLUSIVE & LIMITED bimonthly 4x6 mini print.
- Each print will have a specialty coating (spot, metallic, pearlized, etc).
- Each print will be signed! By me!
- Future prints will be voted on by Mini Print tier members.
- Continued access to ALL the additional benefits from other tiers.
Each mini print will NOT be offered anywhere else! ONLY here and ONLY for those subscribed to the new mini print tier. In the case of this first one, that's every mini print subscriber now through June 30th. After that date, those members will be given a choice between two or three past drawings to vote for which exclusive print is next. The previous mini print will be shipped out to mailboxes later that same month.

TIER CHANGES
I had to shuffle the tiers around to make this change happen so the new descriptions are now as follows:
- Super SpaceCat ($3): Access to all content. ❤️
- Treasured SpaceCat ($5): Access to all content + added support ❤️❤️
- Mini Print SpaceCat ($10): Access to all content + bimonthly mini print ❤️❤️❤️
- Wild SpaceCat ($15): Access to all content + bimonthly mini print + added support ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I decided to retire the low-access $1 Space Kitten tier since I didn't have many subscribers to it anyways. Those still in it who wish to remain subscribed however can remain to do so.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
I always have to order extra prints in case of lost and/or damaged ones. So my plan is to offer some sort of exclusive grab bag for any possible leftovers at the end of each year. That way there's a chance for new members to possibly get something they missed (or just found out about). Of course, there's no guarantee on these grab bag prints.
Patreon now offers the ability to "buy" posts. Considering looking into how I can offer that feature for those who don't wish to subscribe. Honestly though, it'll be a premium price so not quite sure why anyone would want to do this. Might as well get a print AND extra content. But maybe there's something I don't know.
Lastly, just because an illustration is an exclusive mini print, doesn't mean it won't ever be a larger print later on. For example, I might still offer an 11x14 version of the above Batgirl Supergirl illustration later in life. Or... I might not! I guess that's the gamble. Regardless, even if I do, none of the non-exclusive prints will have a specialty coating. The mini prints will ALWAYS having something unique about them.
I'm also going to look into custom portfolio books to save all these upcoming prints in! I think that'll be really fun. No clue on how or when that might be yet. Maybe for next year's birthday.

That's about right. As long as you're signed up in June , you'll get this first one. I'm not going to be a stickler on folks who drop out and back in every other month. They just might miss out on voting (or the next print). For example: June: Print July: Voting Aug: Print Sept: Voting Oct: Print Ect... Sorry that it's a little confusing with the bimonthly schedule. It's the only way i could make this tier affordable and attainable with my work schedule. If enough folks sign up and my workload lightens though, I'm hoping I can make make it monthly!

So do we need to upgrade this month and pay for May/June to get the first print and then make sure we are at this tier for July/Aug, Sept/Oct, etc to get future prints?

I might, but I don't think it's needed. The envelopes I use are pretty rigid. Would be tough to bend by accident. I also need to keep the weight down to keep the shipping at letter price. I am planning on testing out some backing boards for this first round though.
