🕑 Added 2025-03-07 19:07:21 +0000 UTCHappy Friday! Dunno about for the rest of you but this week just raced by for me.
And it was a big one! I finally handed in the finished colored draft of THE MOONLIT SPIRAL. Yay! What a journey that was. Still a bit of work to do on it including a cover (of which I started sketching some designs for this week), some filler stuff, inevitable edits, and probably a few other things I haven't considered... but the lengthy important bulk of it is done! And it feels GREAT.
Now I'm looking ahead and ahead means, well... the next two Spidey books. But it also means this character right here: Ko! Which I've 100% decided is going to be a sci-fi story. Don't expect a repeat of Cleopatra in Space though. There'll be similarities, but I have a completely different vision in mind for this one. Hopefully it'll be fun being on the ground floor as it develops. That will mostly be single Illustrations like the above for the bulk of the year as I focus on Spider-Man. Then we'll see where interest lies for it to be something worth diving into. Who knows? Maybe it'll be my next creator owned thing. Sci-fi--especially sci-fi fantasy--is unfortunately not a very easy sell, to the dismay of literary agent.
Also, I think I landed on a name for her pink, shape-shifting friend but I'm going to hold onto it for a little longer before revealing it. I want make sure I'm definitely okay with it. Especially since it sort of goes hand-in-hand with the story I'm tinkering with.
And that's probably enough writing on that for now. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Should be a nice one. Maybe go for a run. :)
