Mere Christians Interview
🕑 Added 2024-03-20 14:13:34 +0000 UTCI don't talk about my Christian faith a whole lot on here (or the socials) despite it being one of the larger motivators for how I creatively tackle a lot of the work I do. So I'm thankful I have opportunities like this one to chat with my pal Jordan Raynor on his Mere Christians podcast about just that.
If anyone is curious to hear my very jumbled and rambling thoughts on how superheroes shape my faith and why Christians should pursue cultural literacy you can listen to the approx. 45 minute conversation HERE.
I should emphasize that this isn't really a religious or theological conversation, but more about how my art and comics are inspired by a Father who loves making things and has given me and many others an amazing gift to expand on what he started. Not sure I verbally communicated things exceptionally well (there's a reason I write/draw for a living and not go around making speaking engagements!) though hopefully I said one or two things that might rattle around in some heads.
Other than that, I think I should be able to post some new art later today! So something to look forward to this first full day of Spring. š

I am happy to see Christians in the arts talk about how their faith influences their work and life. Super happy this opportunity came along for you.

Awesome. Iāll listen to it as soon as I can. Iām also a Christian, so it is very cool when I find out a fave person of mine is one also. My love of super heroes does play a part in my journey, especially related to Supergirl. Sometimes I stumble on something āSupergirlā when I least expect it, and sometimes when Iām down. When that happens I call it a hug from G-d. After all, āall good things come from G-dāā. You are definitely a blessing!
