I do like this so far. Also, lol, of course the guy he has a crush on notices him. It is not lost on me that he’s made no mention of ever approaching him, so it’s pretty safe to say that everything he’s worried about is an untested assumption! His crush is probably just happy to see a familiar face! (I’m going to laugh if he doesn’t even realize this is the guy who was embarrassed and outed by the story in HS).
