🕑 Added 2020-06-11 23:17:20 +0000 UTCSo I'm at the stage at rigging again where there is not much to physically show you guys, but I gotta say...this time around I'm using some pretty advanced rigs.
To explain it in the least complicated way there is more volume control, less buggy stuff. More detail in the technicalities of curve control and constraints setup to the joints, custom made curves for IK splines and node editor tweaks.
If plans go smoothly I should finish the Rey rig tomorrow and then spend another day rigging the horsecock and doing touch ups to the scene, then animation!

I also came across an idea which I think would be cool, but would like your feedback if you disagree.
I was thinking that for the next poll, for one time only I would make public, letting people share OC characters which don't have 3D models/non-realistic bad models which I could recreate in a semi-realistic style in 3D. Among the ideas posted by the public for OC characters by various artists (either 3D or 2D), I would like to include a few characters from 2D animations/games like for example Korra from Legend of Korra, Misty from Pokemon, Katarina from League of Legends...etc.
I chatted about this idea with is Rock Candy who said they would be down if it comes to it, but just giving you an example for an OC character from an artist which I could remodel in 3D. I will need permission from the artists before I do anything too

Well looking at how long the Demon Centaur took to complete, that was definitely long. Although I want to remind you that was my first attempt and a very complicated model to make from scratch. I think I will only include more humanoid characters for the poll, but you have my word that I will only spend max 2 weeks on the model creation phase. Then the texturing and rigging phases take the same time as any other animation I've previously done. Its the summer now so I'm able to do work a little faster, the time taken to make an animation is usually made up of how many other NEW characters in need to include and unique scene building.

It's definitely an adventurous idea. And I would be very down for some Misty/Pokemon action. But one thing you should think about is the building. I know you use Maya and it's apparently less popular, I don't mind waiting for quality animations but I don't wanna wait months at a time for an animation. If you wanna work on it behind the scenes I definitely agree. But I love the idea that you wanna include your fans ideas into your animations.
