(WIP) [ANIMATION] BLR "BASE Animation"
🕑 Added 2023-10-13 21:09:16 +0000 UTCNOTE: This isn't done. It's a WIP of a WIP. There are more tentacles to do. God, there are always more tentacles. Fucking tentacles. I just thought that it had been a while since I posted last, and I wanted to make a quick update, since I have a bad habit of just disappearing and I don't want y'all to think I do that anymore. Why are her bahoobers like, moving weird, ye ask? Because they're being influenced by tentacles I haven't animated yet. The one on our left, her right, is being pinched by one, the other just sorta groped. Fucking tentacles. I swear.
I remember really bitching about animating tentacles on that first ever Metal Slug animation, but I don't know if I made WIP posts back then. So maybe I just bitched about them to myself. Ugh. Just muttering to myself in my dark lair like a Halloween monster. But man, they suck to do. Like, they're probably my least favorite thing to animate. They're just so finnicky, and you have to be so accurate. It's hard to explain, or maybe it isn't hard and I just don't want to put in the effort of explaining. Just take my word for it. Animation sucks. 0/10, worst medium.
I keep saying this, but I hope this is looking good. I'm trying to work quickly so I can get more work done this month, so I'm not sure if my usual quality, or "quality," is being achieved here. A friend recently told me that my older stuff has something that my newer stuff lacks, and it's got me thinking about mindset. Maybe I'm stressing myself out too much and these don't have much of a spark to them. By golly, I want these to touch your hearts, and your balls. Maybe I need to calm down and try thinking more creatively or something.
Anyways, that's my weird little rant. The tentacles have damaged my sanity, which hey, that's pretty appropriate for Halloween. Next up will be the Variant Element WIP post, and then we're in the home stretch on this sucker.
I'm trying to brainstorm the Hex Girls animation, and one thing i want to do is watch the movie so I can get a better feel for the characters. Maybe that way it will have a bit more zazz than usual.
