The 2024 adventure begins!

I'm back in business, with energies recharged and fired up to be working on the game again!
Last year I commissioned new art for the intro story of the game; if you'll recall, there's 7 images illustrating a bit of the game's world and the context as to why Maya embarks on this adventure.
Whereas before I had only my amateur place-holder art, now there will be these amazing hand-drawn, pencil art in the style of medieval parchments, to sell the idea of a story-book kinda of thing that I envisioned for the introduction cutscene. The drawings turned out quite excellent!

You can check out their twitter to see more of their unique style of drawings (which is why I commissioned from them, as I saw it as a perfect match for what I wanted), and I highly recommend them as they were very communicative and professional. Although do keep in mind that I'm not sure if they do NSFW art, so please do be mindful of that when inquiring about their services.
Oh and that just now reminds me that I have long postponed adding a proper credits page in the game, to detail who did the voices, music, art, etc.
Speaking of adding stuff, after plugging in the new images, I will begin working on a sequence of systems that are all interconnected. Namely, I want to add a way for Maya to be able to dress/undress her armor at will (and consequently a way to legitimately restore/repair her amor), so that she can become naked on command.
This, in turn, ties in to the "currency" and ero system of the game. Maya will have to purposefully have sex with the game's enemies in order to farm the currency, which will be some kind of "ero essence". Regarding Maya's lust, the higher it is, the more essence she can farm, but it comes at the risk of becoming weaker and possibly an easier prey to the enemies, ultimately being in danger of being 100% corrupted and becoming a pure slut, so a risk of game over right there.
Whatever the case, this currency will then be used in the upcoming Haruna's shop, where Maya will be able to but new types of items, equipment, upgrades, etc. Now that I'm back to work, I'm still figuring out the fine details, but that's the gist of what I want to implement, with possible changes here and there.

For the undressing system, I did enjoy how Anthophobia did it - i.e. where layers of clothing could be taken off in exchange for health (obviously at the greater risk of getting grabbed). I'm not sure if the inverse quite works as well (losing health for armor) though!

Oh wow, those are some very nice pictures there! I can see why you went to that artist. I got a feeling that MKM will have some very good updates this year, and I'm excited to see what you got in store for it all!
