Working on the monster city, and the next poll
🕑 Added 2020-05-17 02:58:45 +0000 UTCI'm trying to make the style of the city and houses to resemble the old school rpg's such dragon quest and final fantasy, meaning colorful roofs and blocky structure. I have a lot of nostalgia for those games so I think the aesthetic fits MKM quite well, but also from a practical standpoint it means that its a style that is manageable in terms of creating tilesets given my amateur artistic level.
In terms of level design I'm testing different layouts to make the stage unique: The first part of the city (which will be accessible after defeating the hill boss) will be the slums and alleyways, with the 2nd part being focused on the rooftops of the city's center. It will culminate into the 3d part which will be some sort of coliseum or battle arena where the boss fight will take place.
Those are just the general descriptions as I want to leave some surprises for the players to discover with some new situations that need to be navigated in a different way. I'm working on those currently and want to release a version with that content closer to the end of the month.
As for this month's poll the enemy slot will be for the monster city, so as usual I want to request that all Heroic Darling patrons that wish to have an entry please send me your suggestions via direct message, e-mail or discord. While the main enemies of the stage are going to be demi-monsters and beastlike humanoids, you are free to suggest any sort of creature really, because I can make it fit the lore no problems.
I will gather entries for about 7 days, at which point I will setup the poll for voting. The basic format of your suggestions should contain: The creature that will pair up with Maya and the type of pose or action of the ero scene that fits with one of the fetish tags that are within the scope of my work. For a list of those you can always check the project page on my blog and refer to the fetish section, but feel free to ask me directly for clarifications as well.
