Testing the boss fight, and setting up the next poll
🕑 Added 2019-12-07 23:38:24 +0000 UTCIn the video you can see the work in progress of the boss fight. I'm using placeholders to test different skills types and I'm trying to not make the first boss fight of the game too hard.
When I'm happy with the skill-set, I'll draw the rest of the boss animations and also implement the event system which will setup the fight. With those things completed, I want to do a patreon release at the middle of the month hopefully.
So while I keep working on that, I'll start the preparations for the next poll, and I think it's best to start this early to give enough time for everyone to engage.
This poll is going to be for the 3rd enemy in the beach.
From a gameplay progression perspective, the idea is this: After defeating the forest boss, the player will acquire the dash skill which will give access to a new area to the left of the starting point in the beach.
With the dash the player returns to the start of the game and can now jump across the ocean and reach the new beach stage which will be harder to navigate and will have the usual starfish, barnacles and the new enemy (the result of this poll) and a new boss.
Like before, all Heroic Darling patrons please send me your entries at your earliest convenience, but I'm aiming to set this period for some 7 days or until every patron has put up their entry. Note that it's not exactly necessary to fit your entry to the "beach theme" even tough the enemy will live there, but of course you're free to do so if you want. I say this because as I already have 2 enemies that fit that theme so we can take some liberty with the design of the new one, and this also opens up your options for the suggestions.
That said remember that for this poll I will test some new approaches as I described in a previous post, one of which is the banning of previous winning fetishes, so for this poll we have two bans: vanilla and vore.
As usual, for any doubts concerning if your entry qualifies or not you can simply ask me in the DM's while you're setting up the entry.
UPDATE/EDIT: A little bit of clarification about the fetish bans:
Vanilla: It bans more or less means male humanoids in "normal" sex positions like missionary, cowgirl, etc. Exeptions: Male Humanoids engaging in a different fetish on the list (blowjob for example would be considered vanilla, but since it is separated into its own category in my fetish list, it gets a pass). The same goes for the vanilla postions if a different creature uses them (so a futanari missionary entry would be ok, since futa is a main category).
Vore: It bans anything that can fall under the umbrella term, such as unbirth, quicksand, etc. Exceptions: Scenes where vore is not the main element. For example a yuri scene where a girl gropes Maya as she is drained of energy. Draining would fall under vore, but since the main element is the lesbian touching, then it is ok.
I know, it's confusing as hell and can limit suggestions, but this is just a trial for this poll and if this approach ends up being more of a bother than a helpful thing, I will discard it going forward.
