JYP casted the Lee sisters on KPOP Star 3. He was one of 3 judges. He had to obtain the rights to cast both of them together because it was a competition survival show and they did not enter as a duo or a team, but as individual performers. So he got permission from the other judges to cast them as a team. But the each individually entered the show. That casting lead them to be trained at JYPE.
