I feel like Chae really couldn't do 'Banmal' (Informal speech) with Jihyo coz to her, Jihyo is the Leader, like she said, no one couldn't shake off the fact that apart from Nayeon, Jihyo is one of the Legendary trainees in JYPE. Eventhough Jihyo tries to be super close to Chae, going out with her, spending time with her, drinking with her, Jihyo will always be the Leader in her eyes, and speaking formally to her is Chae's sign of respect towards her.
