G

loved the editing on this one!

Giovanni

Hello, good reaction, wish you guys reacted to tory’s album alone at prom because it has a verry similar sound, some people may say its better event if doesn’t have the same theme at all with radio purgatory ecc…

Heart of The Cards

Superb breakdown of the album. The concept is truly immaculate when you consider more than the sonics.

I loved this review it’s actually #1 that y’all did to me and the best review I’ve seen in awhile. I loved each sides take on the album. Much appreciated

Loved this!!! Y’all made me really LIKE the album!!!

I had watch this amazing reaction again GOATED

N

rewatching this vid this is actually a CLASSIC reaction

Ray Shepherd

I never thought I’d say this but Kendrick Lamar has COMPETITION when it comes to concepts when he drops cuz WEEKND DID NOT COME TO PLAY🤯 10 out of 10

Kamal Williams

Love this reaction. Definitely the best album yall have reacted to in a minute. Shout to the Weeknd and shout out to yall! Whole 9!

Valdy Valere

You mean Terrance

Sajid Aurangzeb

Review Roddy pls !!!

B Dem

This boy terrance wearing a xxxl tee got me crying

Troy

fr these "real Weeknd fans" can't just learn to enjoy the music. I loved this album and it has been on repeat since it came out

Swaraj Rai

Whole Lotta 9'ers in this bitch mane!!

ACECHANSE2k14 PSN

Did y’all ever react to Tyler new album?

Haki Humphrey

10/10 album, review, reaction, everything; no way weekend says y’all are wrong 😂

Valdy Valere

Y’all fucking bodied this review 🔥

Derrick Isaac II

Can we get a euphoria breakdown?!!

Joevi Flores

I loved your guys review/reaction. I personally loved this album, especially since it seems to be a part of The Weeknd's new trilogy, After Hours, Dawn FM and apparently the next album is After Life. This album sounds so great and I personally cannot wait to try to see it in person, def a concert album. There are many Weeknd "fans" who hated this album off the jump and just want Trilogy Weekend back.. why? That is not his lifestyle anymore and he already made that amazing album, so just go back to it. Loved how you guys were open to the album. Great review

Jaylen

Terrell say bitch ass nigga so much he had to catch himself 🤣

In-House Comedy

This albums reminds me of being in love with someone so much that u feel u can die in arms at any moment. But overtime u gets too comfortable and somehow fuck it up and u see how it negatively effected that persons behavior and actions towards u so u die regretting that and since and u can’t go to heaven with regrets you’re stuck in purgatory forever

Goanar Reath

need a hndrxx flashback asap

G Dunne

Abel’s commentary on the album…”picture the album being like the listener is dead, and they’re stuck in this purgatory state, which I always imagined would be like being stuck in traffic waiting to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. And while your stuck in traffic they’ve got a radio station playing in the car, with a radio host guiding you to the light and transitioning to the other side. So it could feel celebratory, could feel bleak, however you want to make it feel, but that’s what The Dawn is for me.” Can’t wait for the 3rd album in this new trilogy we might find out if he goes to heaven or hell lol

Wassup with a hndrxx flashback???

steezo

Yesss cordae review fasho

damountwade3

We need a Cordae Review!!

I loved this break down

React to roddy rich album

Brand X

Great review. I’m glad to hear a deeper look into this because most haven’t given it a chance. They’re missing out on a great experience.

Anyone watching Macbeth tonight??

Loved this review

Amazing Breakdown y’all gotta react to Khalid’s Scenic Drive EP.

Zachary Brian

Can y’all review Birds eye view by Cordae?

Kumari

It just Dawned on me how weakened The Weeknd looks on this album. Pun intended

Vishal Rajan

9ers are arriving at the Dawn 🌅⚡️🌌

Kevin

Best review of this album. The reach is fun because it shows how invested we are in the project, and it matches the fact we can tell the artist put effort in the details. Have a great year 9ers!

XIn EZ

The fact that you can hear birds chirping at the end of Phantom Regret and the beginning of Dawn FM intro plays into the idea of this album being an endless cycle of sin, reflection, and regret until Abel breaks the cycle and out of purgatory.

Nuno Marques

masterpiece obviously.

Cameron Logan

Y’all gotta check out Surround Sound

Yah jah like need to throw this on YouTube. The people need to see this. Cause I definitely was sleeping until Yah broke this shit down to the 🅿️😀. Fav track for sure is out of time.

Stephen Crisci

This just made me look at this album completely different. Thanks for the great content as always 9️⃣

ZainAKI

The way you guys broke this down was amazing, you should do this for after hours too.

DC DC!

Callin this album a classic!

Bishup1887

Great review never really looked at the album that way

Dundee Mifflin

Man this was album was Amazing!

Bro I can’t wait to show this to my homies — the Weeknd might even see this

Ian Auki

they didn't

wait a minute, did yall ever react to call me if you get lost yet?

s.hydrx

yall gon have to do that Joey Bada$$ R3VENGE Tonight

Mello

When I first listened to this album, I thought it was fire. Many people gonna sleep on it tho but man this shit different 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Tyler Mentoor

Great review. that first zoom in on the light took me somewhere for real lol

Ynfeli

I like deep dives y’all doing with the album’s underlying context & stories! We need more of these 🔥🔥🔥

Antonio 305

Went into it wanting high for this and then i watched yall reaction and appreciated it more

Born Rich

Surprised y’all haven’t reacted to Alone at Prom. It’s not as grandiose as After Hours or Dawn FM but it captures the essence of 80s R&B better imo. I think it was overlooked by a lot of people because of the Meg situation.

love u guys

I miss the times when y'all would be standing up and dancing for the reactions

Oliver

These guys do not miss, every video is a great watch!

Jack Boring

Heard rumors that "The Afterlife" ad on Every Angel is foreshadowing his next album, which will complete this current trilogy. After Hours - Dawn FM - After Life

Jack Boring

This album described to the tee every stage of my previous relationship to the bitter end and you guys broke it down perfectly. Helped me catch things I didn't even notice. Truly a work of art by Abel. Great reaction guys

Literally not reaching at all lol. Almost every reaction I’ve heard so far is people that sit there for 40 mins talking about how it’s a sound they have to get used to. Credit to you guys for being able to tap in as soon as you heard the intro and recognizing immediately that this was intended to be an experience/journey, not just another jam session. Great review guys!

Xaveier Smith

What’s your guys opinion on Alicia Keys recent album?

Jordy98

GREAT breakdown! I think you guys should check out the music videos for Gasoline and Sacrifice aswell cause it explains the story a lot. In Gasoline for example you see the old weeknd trying to warn his younger self for what he is doing to himself. But the young weeknd beats up the old weeknd (his soul) and the people around him (as in “we”, the audience) loving it and couldn’t care less if it fucks up his soul and his future (relationships).

Kendall

“After Life” is supposedly the name of his next album. I thought this album was crazy good & one of his best for sure. The concept is very dope. Y’all reaction and vid quality was on point, even when y’all added up the radio station number and also the 9th track was next lol.

Slade Simpson

Please look at my dms I’ve been a huge fan for a long time

Kameryn Hall

Loved this breakdown! y’all should also go back and listen to After Hours again because it’s the beginning of the new trilogy but also because it also conveyed a theme that lead to this album. 9

PyroGandhi

Nah like y’all said, the fact that the music even gives you an opportunity to think like this in the first place gives an automatic green light. The duo back to back interpretations were fuckin me up! Like he gave y’all the script to the damn movie or sum. Every Angel breakdown was ridiculous. This y’all’s best no doubt , thank you!

Jenxo

Really appreciate you guys reacting to Dawn FM and putting so much thought into it! I’ve been a fan of Abel since 2011 and it’s amazing to see the growth! Also love from Portland! Fire shirt Terrance! Thanks again!! Whole 9!!

Kader Ndiaye

The beginning of the album could definitely play in stranger things. The themes of the first couple songs and the show just match perfectly imo.

VonTheWitty1

I think it's a masterpiece, loved it. I'm a 90's kid (92) and I caught mad 80's vibe from this album, maybe I'm mistaken but isn't that the 80's sound? I thought about playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for some reason. Love it, love it lmao

Aaron Merritt

sitting down is definitely a better setup but great break down 🤝

Breakdown gives me a whole new appreciation for the album. 9

fireeeeeee

Johnny K

And Ps, other creators sit down in their vids and it’s trash 🤣 that’s why we fucked with use because use were different and use gave more of your personality by standing up. But if y’all gonna sit down from now on it’s cool too, y’all the best anyway 🐐🐐

Johnny K

Damn y’all really pieced that shit together at the end !🙌🏼🐐

Jesus Obeso

9️⃣

Shmeatball

That adding up of the 103.5 into the 9 edit had me hollering 😂

Delvin Fourcand

playing it backward really blew my mind this one of the best albums ive ever heard

Amazing vid and breakdown craziest thing about this album is when you also realize it’s connected to after hours and a new trilogy. Although the theme doesn’t seem as strong on after hours there’s definitely a theme and when we look back we’ll all just appreciate the greatness of the weeknd

Ezekiel M

(Side note) Y’all should do a re listen to Isaiah rashads album like y’all did wunna if y’all can and wanted to

Ezekiel M

This was an unbelievable video not only the breakdown cause everybody is saying it so it goes without saying … but the way y’all edited this and gunna was literally perfect Also album is amazing fr fr

your guys’ review on this album was simply amazing, i couldn’t of broken it down any better and you guys picked up on intricacies that i never would of thought of.

Supahot

I honestly still can't believe ppl didnt fw this album

vidllo

Isaac

Fire

i feel like this album is meant to be the experience of limbo

Andruw Richardson

I LOVE BEING A 9ER RN

Myles Walston

That “DAMN” comparison really made the light in my noggin turn on, bc when u really think about it, from the promo of the album being two different version of himself, one side being regretful for all the things he’s done and the other side being more of him doing all the things that his older self knows he will regret❗️❗️❗️, yea this album is easily one of the best of the year and ya reaction was fuckin brilliant in every aspect 9️⃣

Kyle

I’m one of the people who listened for the first time without knowing the message and now going back and listening to the explanation it makes so much sense. This was a beautiful breakdown. Thank you to you both!

Mo Coco

Love the review, my take on this album is that he OD’d after the song gasoline and is doing one of two things: fw someone in purgatory OR reminiscing about them in purgatory.

A. Shawneé

I have so many mixed emotions about this album. I recognize the greatness in the story telling and the sonics but honestly, I can't name a song that I'd go back to. I think this album will be like a movie that I want to "rewatch" every now and then when it crosses my mind.

Ryan

Y’all went crazy with the editing on this one

The end where you guys say you can play it backward makes so much sense. Really you can play it backward and forwards, endlessly going through cycles of sin, reflection, and regret. That's why Abel's in purgatory, always headed towards the light but never making it until he breaks the cycle. Also why he looks so old and tired on the cover because he's been there so long.

Solomonjunior

YOU guys need to do a break down of After hours! it fits well with the story of dawn fm

Solomonjunior

GREAT ALBUM!!!

Elvin

That breakdown was legendary. Great Reaction Video!! This album is simply amazing!! 9!!!!

mango slug

Sitting down for the reactions is fine, but young thug, gunna, future reactions etc should be standing cuz those are made for turning up

bancobrabo

amazing first breakdown

SuperFuego

Love the reaction and Album.

N

I finished the vid and I fw the new style of sitting down like the podcast. Always thought standing while listening to an album first time would have to be annoyin lmao

Cody!

Elite breakdown. 9!

DJ TreyNice

MASTERPIECE

For a first listen the breakdown is insane. Love the new set up and editing gives the reaction a whole different experience. Proud of y’all. 9 ‼️

Ya'll killed it with this shit guys. The Weeknd is my favorite artist and I'm so happy to see you guys do such a deep dive on the album. You should do a House of Balloons throwback at some point tho ;) Much love guys keep up the wonderful work!!

Love the reaction and the portland shirt. Salute from Oregon

Noel

This video is so good 😂

braden

Wow what a breakdown

Loic Reviews

Note that After Hours was the start of the new trilogy, we get After Hours, Dawn FM and After Life.

Malcolm

Jim Carrey is representing God as he was God in the film Bruce Almighty "Don't touch the dial cuz you're out of time" ( Don't pray for me - because you're dying)
