today I did good🔥

Newgate

😭😭😭😭

Newgate

Not at all

Newgate

Relisten to the album this ain’t for a one time listen

Newgate

What a horrible take. You didn’t listen to the album. You got songs like time reveals, conscience, blackjack and today i did good here he goes into introspection. But you’re talking about surface level music. Did u expect to hear a to pimp a butterfly ? Y’all gotta realize when an artist just isn’t for you and move on. I don’t listen to every Mallory bros reaction (most of them I do but still), why ? Because I don’t like every artist they react to and that’s ok you can do the same.

Adam abbas

how u skip roddys verse !!?

Jamal

You tripping gang, this sounds nothing like the old gunna. In fact it sounds better than old gunna.

Real Geeker

yeah i was definitely thinking more torwards lil baby than uzi

NamoDamo

I rock wit gunna heavy but I feel like the same criticism lil baby get yall don’t do with him because he’s more melodic, but tbh the production and his flow be the same majority of the tracks on every album. Especially the last 2. Still like a couple songs tho just think we gassing it

G.Fazoo_

LIFES CHANGING IS THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM YALL TASTE IS BAD..

G.Fazoo_

You halfway correct its still a 7/10

Antoniotheceo

I recently subscribed to your Patreon and I’m really happy I did. You guys did a great review on Gunna’s new album. I just became a new fan of his. You can’t deny amazing talent. 💐✨🔥

Olu

lol. I’m looking at it as I would any album. I get that gunna fans want to “vibe” and “chill” I’m just pointing out that it’s exactly that and nothing more. For an album, I think the general idea is to make a body of work that covers a spectrum of your creative output. However when you are limited (as gunna clearly is) it becomes this one big chunk of indistinguishable songs that will quickly burn out because of their lack of distinct character. They saying “we have to have a convo about Gunna” and my response is, a convo about what exactly? None of his songs last. They cool to vibe and chill for in the moment but it’s never something substantial or substantive which is my biggest criticism.

Olu

That’s a copout to me. Being “lyrical” isn’t only about having a message to say. It’s also about how you express your ideas in an imaginative/creative way regardless of what the content is. Gunna lyrics are very surface level/elementary. Thug and Future are good examples of the same content expressed in a significantly more lyrical manner. Notice how they barely had to pause to go over anything. And when they did, it was for lines like “I’m lion in the field, I ain’t no mice” 😂 like come on man. Think about when future says “85 pointers, Ocho cinco diamonds” Gunna ain’t have one line that hit like that this entire album.

Thornton Williams

Ppl are looking for good art and lyrics again though. GINNA is saying a bunch of nothing and the same shi he been sayin for years

Thornton Williams

Fax I thought it sounded just like his last album. This album got dry after 6 songs for me

Billy Stewart

Yeah nah this album is a masterpiece.

Ruben Hernandez

Nobody listens to gunna for the lyrics dawg😭

Ruben Hernandez

Maybe it’s cuz you’re trying to review it like if it’s an Eminem album, gunna is for the people who just like to lay back and vibe🤷🏽‍♂️

Justin

Trash take 🗑️

King Baker

Terrance being disgusted by the coke bottle was funny af 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Olu

Y’all gassed this album, Ngl. The music was not interesting. The beats were the same tempo every song. the lyrics and flow were 1 dimensional with no real energy at all. There was no real dimensions or dynamics to the album. It was just the same song in a different flavors. And the flavors weren’t even all that different. Each song could stand alone as an okay song but as a collection, there’s no way I could take it seriously as an album.

Druu

Zain Raja

I'll keep it the real. This album is alright to me... compared to A Gift & a Curse. That shit blew me away (with no features too). Maybe I'm gassing it because he dropped it right after getting out of lock up and took a 'Me v. The Industry' angle that was believable and hard asf, but man that project is certified to me.
