nakratos, an updated OC
🕑 Added 2021-09-03 23:35:06 +0000 UTCI talked about him before almost a year ago. Many of those comments are still relevant today.
The biggest difference here though is that this version of Nak is built on the updated Draenei model that I've been customizing. So there are a lot of upgrades, similar to my latest customized Orc model, such as more geometry, true nipples, SL (and LF) assets, etc. One quick note about that actually; obviously this model doesn't have any of the new incoming LF Draenei assets yet, but I think they should be easy to integrate into this model.
All of Nak's previous morphs were thrown out of course, since we're dealing with something completely new. His new morphs are definitely a huge refinement over the original ones that I gave him.
He lost some moobyness (far from being flat chested though) but gained in musculature across the board. I cut back on that specifically because I felt like the moobs were clashing with his new chiseled look.
He doesn't have a fat morph, and he won't. I will work on a chubby/fat morph for other goats, but as far as I'm concerned, Nak's a muscular goat. He also won't have any "hairy" chest textures. Hey this is my OC, so he's going to look how I want him to look.
His head is now 7.5% larger than normal, vs. 10% beforehand. Awfully specific yes, but I'm sure some people would find that fascinating.
He also...kinda has buttocks. Definitely something cheeky going on there, but of course it's not a real "butt" so to speak because there's a giant tail in the way. But it'll be something that looks real nice from the right angle.
His hairstyle and such have also seen several changes. Yes, I ended up caving in and giving him one of those new SL beards. I love what I did with Nak's five o'clock shadow (which is still there beneath the beard), but it seems like my followers would rather see their men with full grown beards...so here we are. I don't really mind, I do think that the beard helps "complete" his face, but I am going to miss that five o'clock shadow. It's a personal taste of mine. I prefer well-groomed beards and facial hair over slovenly messes.
And now to his clothing. The "default" and only new piece of gear that I will always have on him are those dad glasses. I love them; they're a blessing. But I'm sure you're more interested in learning more about just what in the world he has on in that pic.
That's his outfit for the next commission featuring him actually. The commissioner requested a generic, BDSMy looking outfit, and that's what I came up with. I originally kept the outfit's concept very simple: Orgrimmar Chestguard + Warbear Woolies. That's a classic thotmog with BDSMy tones. The commissioner was OK with that too, but I wasn't. It felt a little too simple and boring for my tastes. And for me specifically, I knew I had to try a little bit harder than that.
So I took the textures for another harness (a real ugly vanilla one but also one of the few sexy ones), and tweaked it quite a bit. I made it significantly thinner across the board, and got rid of the terrible textured buckles. I then replaced those textured buckles with actual 3D ones, and then just placed those right on top of where those textured buckles would be. It's a very simple "trick" that is used quite often in-game actually. It provides a lot of additional depth without being overly complicated. More importantly, I'm also trying to maintain some level of parity with how things actually look and feel in-game, which is very important to me.
And then we have some Rogue pieces here and there to finish things up. So in the end, he looks like a super goofy and stupid, kinky sex spy. And I love it. It's super damn kitschy, but it's the kind of trashy kitschy that I love. I don't know if I want this to be his permanent IC outfit (he's still a Monk IC to me), but we'll see.
