Nah, this is only when they use their power. You are right that the eyes are very important in showing emotions. But I thought it would be a cool effect to have when using power.
Will the eyes of the characters always shine like these previews? I feel that it good as a signal of one character using her power, but not for all time. You know, eyes can show emotion and feelings, etc, but forever shining eyes will be less effective in terms of these.
