light blocks
🕑 Added 2025-10-09 17:00:05 +0000 UTCNicholas is most known for his ability to create really interesting shapes with light - previously we did some where he creates a profile of shadow across my face (for which he won an award!). His series where he creates "dresses" of shadow are also some of his most notorious works. For this look Cat wanted to do really subtle, natural make up so that his use of lighting throughout could be emphasized.

He does everything practically! for safety reasons he inverts photos and ensures people can't adjust the values to see parts of your body you don't want seen (and if that's possible he goes in and edits to ensure they're truly censored), but he's a real master of utilizing light in interesting ways!

Really stunning! How much of the light blocks were practical vs really well edited in? The light looks really intense π
