The RA Ch 6
🕑 Added 2022-06-25 17:05:50 +0000 UTCHey, more RA stuff! This chapter officially takes us from the chaos of move-in week to the start of classes. I don't know that this is a story that will concern itself much with what's happening in Lakeview's academic buildings, but things should finally start to feel like a dorm and not an apartment building with a lot of weirdly open doors.
This chapter goes into a little more teasing at Something Weird Is Going On as Spencer makes a discovery in his roommate agreements, and there's a big happy floor meeting to talk about programs and floor t-shirts. Fun times had by fun girls! (Also Spencer is there.)
We've also added art for Janis and assigned one of our unassigned bits of art to Kendall, and designated the official single rooms on the floor roster, so that's some good administrative times.

I really love the scene breaks in this story. They reliably get a laugh out of me, even though they're almost all of the Things Are Fine -> THINGS WERE NOT FINE variety. It's a gag that will always work, so long as the relief beforehand is sweet, and the anxiety afterward is just this side of terrifying. Very fun to see Spencer slowly building out a devoted, horny harem without really making the connection, and part of me never wants him to catch on. I want a Chapter 20 when the community fund is mostly spent on birth control and lube, while Spencer frets about these girls' probably-platonic need to fuck him in groups of four. I want this hard-working dope to never figure out he's in a harem story!
