The RA 2.12 and 2.13

Chapter 12 gives Spencer his crack at getting some answers, but I wanted to have something fun to go with it, so Chapter 13 takes us to the commencement of fall break, the mid-point of the fall semester. Only 3/4 of the school year left to go!
I feel like there's some fine tuning to be done with these chapters, phrasing and scene tweaking and this and that, but the core of it is there, and there's some stuff to enjoy hopefully. The final portion of 13 with Spencer and Ramona is definitely one I want to look at, especially what's currently a dreadfully banal closing. But that's what the editing process is for!
I'm leaving for a week on the 27th. It's conceivable I'll manage to rush this through before then, but if not, early next year. In the meantime, thanks as always for your support! More to come.

Ha ha, who cares? That shit's irrelevant, in light of these chapters' stunning work on every conceivable level. There's no section of storytelling - plot, character, or theme - that gets underserved or ignored. It's the thematic part that I liked the best from this character-driven harem mystery, because I am a colossal weirdo. I love the part in any gigantic Ice Bear narrative where the protagonist grapples with the morality of his options, and starts to do the more interesting work of determining whether he's scared of what he might do to others, or just scared of liking it. That exploration of how our self-image prevents us from fully examining our desires, and how shame prevents us from seeing what other people might want for themselves, is so crucial to these stories of well-meaning men and sexually-desirable women, and I'm glad this book made room for it at the end, where it'd have the most impact. All I could've asked for from an Ice Bear project. oh also the sex scenes were hot as fuck
