Living the Dream, Part 3
🕑 Added 2020-05-15 16:54:05 +0000 UTCI'm back, folks! My new mouse fits my giant hands like a dream, and a week's rest seemed to really do the trick. I finished up Living the Dream Part 3 last night, and here it is for you folks in time for the weekend.
Because it has been forever since the last installment, I'll do a little recap for those who might need it. (If you don't need it, that's all there is to this post, so go on and get reading.) The story is a continuation of Neighbors From Back When in which a guy named Dwayne "DJ" Gaspar, when he was a teenager, installed some speakers in the wall of his cute neighbor's bedroom with barely audible subliminals trying to turn her into his adoring love slave. But both families moved away soon after. As an adult, his parents visited some old friends from the neighborhood, DJ with them, and was introduced to the Hooper family, who lived in the affected house. Turns out his subliminals were still at work and incredibly successful, and upon learning his identity, the family quickly embraces servitude.
In Living the Dream, we fast forward a little while to where DJ and the Hoopers have set up the Firebrand Ad Agency as a front for hiring young attractive women and brainwashing the hell out of them. After a year or so, the girls are ready for "promotion" to the secluded second floor. Enter Brianne, a new employee, suspicious of her office full of young hotties, but grateful for the pay and benefits. By accident. she learns that "Mr. Gaspar" is in fact DJ Gaspar, and suddenly her subliminals trigger upon the realization. She's not far along enough though that she's ready to succumb.
In Part 2, Brianne tries to find a way out. With DJ's subliminals echoing inside her head, she searches in vain for their source. Her efforts to quit and alert the authorities run into a wall when she finds she is too far gone to be able to betray her boss or live a normal life. Unable to leave, but afraid to stay much longer and have her condition worsen, she hits upon the idea of striving for a promotion to the second floor, where hopefully they no longer need to employ further brainwashing.

Oh my freaking gosh, folks. I'm so embarrassed. And of course I posted right before I headed out the door to the vet. But I'll be home in a couple hours and get those up. So sorry!
