I see a lot of people saying why didn't they at least give lilly a proper goodbye. Honestly I was thinking the same at first my opinion thinking it over is there already pack up, lilly saw them, with a house hold of eleven other who's to say someone hasn't already woken up or about to ise the bathroom. Also I notice lincoln trying to rush lynn out with him. For one of two reasons one lilly is starting to get loud and hysterical while crying bound to have someone to come down stairs. Or lincoln thinks as soon as lilly melts into Lynn's arms she's going to have second thoughts about leaving with him. Remember it was lincoln trying to convince lynn to start this relationship. Love to hear the author or other reader opinion about it.

Right now they're like Orpheus. They have the chance to leave, but for that to happen they have to be strong, determined, and don't look back. If they stay for one second to comfort Lily, they might not be able to leave. Their sibling instincts might kick in and decide to stay. It's a battle of wills right now.

This is just heartbreaking for everyone involved here. Poor Lily’s world is ending as she knows it, as this realization dawns on her. And of course, it’s older sibling instinct for Lincoln and Lynn to want to comfort their little sister during her downward spiral. But this may be their only chance to leave while the getting is good and unfortunately, this is as good a time as any. All we can hope for now is that Lily doesn’t wake the whole house up and foil Lincoln and Lynn’s escape attempt.

*deep inhale, long exhale* nope. Nuh-uh. If this is happening, this ain't happening like this. You go back there and console the baby right now. You leave if you have to, but you are not going to leave her heartbroken like that while she goes hysterical over how she begged her big sisters that you would all be okay. That is an illegal act punishable by a swift sentence of a long and painful execution. Even if things will never be okay, you make damn sure that she will be okay before you are allowed to move from that spot. Is that understood?
