I keep expecting that to happen next. Lincoln fought to convince Lynn to give this relationship a chance. It would make sense for Lynn to fight to keep the relationship with Lincoln. So, I really got a feeling that the parents will try to separate them and send one or both kids to different locations. Then Lynn will sneak into where Lincoln's sleeping and convince him to run away with her. But that's just me. I don't know what UnderratedHero has planned.

On the one hand, I do understand Rita and Lynn Sr.’s shock and frustration with their son and daughter being boyfriend and girlfriend. No parent wants to have this type of conversation with their kids. But on the other hand, labeling this relationship as sick is not the approach to take. In effect, Rita and Lynn Sr. are labeling Lincoln and Lynn as sick for having these feelings for each other. You can just see it in Lincoln and Lynn’s eyes in that last panel– the outrage and disbelief. We all knew going into this discussion that Rita and Lynn Sr. were most likely not going to see eye to eye with their children on this topic. It was just like Lynn stated to Lincoln in Volume 4: “It’s the whole world turning its back on you!” And sadly, this is how it starts: first, it will be their parents to turn their backs on them. Then, some of their sisters will follow suit. And after that, the ripple effect/blast radius will just get bigger and bigger until it covers the rest of the world over. Now, Rita also wonders how Lincoln and Lynn can say all of this like it’s supposed to be normal. Well, the truth of the matter is, it’s not normal. But it makes them happy. And trying to follow the world’s definition of normal made them miserable. Lincoln and Lynn knew the risks going into this relationship, but they were still worth taking. And it made all the difference for them up to this point. This love doesn’t have to be normal; it just has to be right. And it’s absolutely right.
