More story than scary and I like how the supernatural element was kind of in the background. I don’t know why I like the teen/high school aspect in movies but ai do. Carrie feels like it’s on lots of must see horror lists so big check mark!!

People had such curly-headed babies? In the 70s, especially late 70s, high school kids often got perms - even boys. There were at least 3 boys I recall in my class (82) who had perms for *years* of high school. Not me lol...

Totally. 80's too. A bit less cynical maybe. And they melded in the fantasy and adventure genres inside of them. Stephen King one's especially always had a bit of that Goonie's-like magic.

First watch for me and i'm glad i saw a classic after seeing bits of it in pop culture all these years. I swear 70's horror movies have an odd whimsical way to them, I think it's the soundtrack they used back then.

I loved Let Me In and especially the ending, but also the really terror filled parts. Plus I loved the actor Chloë Grace Moretz esp after seeing her in Kick Ass!
