Silverfire - Chapter 40

[2013 – December]
*BOOM*
A loud explosive sound echoed through the surroundings, as I was blasted backwards by the whip-like tentacle of red nebulous energy.
My feet left deep trenches in the ground, as I came to a halt after a few meters.
Looking at Silver standing before me a with red glow eminating from her whole figure, I gave a slight smile. We were currently on a nearby uninhabitated planet, sparring against each other using the powers of our respective Infinity Stones and other abilities.
A few months had passed since that nerve-wrecking moment, where Silver had fused the dwarf-forged heart containing the Reality Stone.
The Reality Stone, much like the Space and Power Stone, chose its wielder through a baptism. Testing if one is worthy and able to wield its power, by simply having one endure the pressure of their inifinite energy.
At that time it had taken Silver a few minutes to gain control over the Infinity Stone, but as she had been built with that goal in mind all along, no real problems appeared as she had accostumed herself to its properties and energy output. The red vortex of reality-altering energy disappering soon after.
Shaking off these memories, I directly summoned my unbreakable spear and spat a column of fire into Silver's direction, while I approached her with great speed.
Though I didn't use my Superspeed, but simply the agility my superhuman physique granted me, as it would be impossible to have a real spar otherwise.
My flames proved utterly useless, as Silver simply turned them into a flock of bubbles, making them lose all their destructive properties.
The swing of my spear though, she had to block directly, as its material couldn't be transformed by the Reality Stone and I was too close already for her too dodge.
Still, not one to show weakness, she formed a handblade and used the gems power to transform her hand into some kind of ultra-durable alloy, even harder than her own near-indestructible body.
Clashing directly with my the blade of my spear, the alloy gave off sparks, as I hadn't imbued any space-rending powers into it. Otherwise any attempt to block my weapon would have ended very badly for her.
Silver used the force of my attack to retreat a few steps, before she spun low and whipped another one of those massive tentacles at me, directing the attack with her small leg.
This time though I was more than prepared, as I had already erected an angled barrier that deflected the whip-like construct away from me.
The next moment I saw her pointing her open palm at me, as her skin shifted and repulsor nodes became visible.
Dense red energy had already gathered in the center of her palm, which she released with a victorious smile.
I decided to take it up a notch, as a blue glow spread along my abyss-black spear.
*FWWOSH*
*SHING*
A simple swing of my weapon parted the approaching energy blast in a Moses-like fashion and a grim look appeared on Silver's face.
She knew that, once I stopped using the Space Stone for solely defensive measures, the spar's intensity would reach a whole new level.
The following shockwaves and clashes resulting from our fight proved her right, and also made clear why we had chosen this uninhabitated planet as our battlezone.
Large swathes of land were flooded with poisonous miasma or blazing lava, as Silver altered the landscape to her favour in an attempt to gain an edge over me, while the swings of my weapon razed the ground in a kilometer-wide radius.
A good amount of time passed until peace and quiet finally returned to zhe barren planet, as we stopped our spar.
“Let's stop things here for today, I promised your mother we won't be late for dinner … again.”, I said, after making sure Silver didn't suffer any injuries the Reality Stone hadn't already healed.
“Yes, Daddy.”, Silver replied smilingly, as her petite hand grabbed mine.
We disappeared in a cloud of dark blue smoke and reappeared a moment later in front of our little home.
The house was situated a large distance from the Xandarian capital in the midst of greenery.
A small forest stood at the back of the house, while the other three sides were basically grassy fields, ideal for playing games or sunbathing.
The house itself only had two floors, one ground level and one underground.
It spanned a huge surface area with several seperate bath- and bedrooms. The kitchen, dining and living room were designed in an open floor style with glass on three sides of the room, which provided a lot of natural light. The bedrooms had wooden floors, while all the other rooms were fitted with different kind of tiles. Bright colours were at home in this house, with high-quality furniture all around the place. The whole house was powered with ultra-efficient solar panels, but also had an Arc Reactor as a backup.
We had this place built after our own designs and thanks to the advanced technology on Xandar, it had taken mere days for the work to be done.
It wasn't a house for a young couple, but that of a family.

[2014 – February – Valentine's Day]
It was once again Valentine's Day, as I was woken up by the warm sunlight shining into the room.
And even though Xandar's seasons were pretty similar to those of Earth's, the sun was up more often and you could even enjoy the light and warmth, it sent towards the planet via radiation, even in the winter.
Well, as long as you were safely tucked away under your blanket and didn't have to go out into the cold.
Turning around and searching for Wanda in an attempt to celebrate this holiday with her – preferably with some morning sex, I realised that she had already left the bed.
Resigned I shook my head a bit and rubbed the sleep from my eyes, as I jump-started my mental faculties and expelled the remaining haze from my mind. Pushing myself into a seated position, my ears picked up the showering noises from the bathroom and made me realize where Wanda was.
Suddenly I noticed a small white rectangular box lying next to me with a red ribbon around it. A small card was stuck between the ribbon and the box, and on it the words 'For My Love' were written in Wanda's neat handwritting.
Curious and more than a little eager, I carefully opened the the box by undoing the ribbon and what greeted me were a stack of instant print photographs.
Arousal and desire awakening inside of me like raging storm, as I went through the pictures.
While some of them were of her and Silver, or only Silver, most of them were of her and the erotic kind.
Seeing Wanda in different states of undress and different kinds of lingerie made my blood boil in a way even Extremis couldn't.
Just as I was already considering to pounce on Wanda as soon as she left the bathroom, she opened the door herself, wearing nothing but some skimpy red underwear.
Her hair still wet and framing her beautiful face, as she looked at me with a desire in her gaze.
“Do you like my present?”, Wanda asked in a raspy tone.
“Very much.”, I answered, my voice deeper, as want coloured my tone.
“Well, it's not your only present for today. Though I do hope it will help you remember how flat my stomach is, as that will likely change in the next few months.”, Wanda said with a light tone, as her hand lovingly brushed over her abdomen.
I am not embarrassed to admit, that it took me a few moments to understand what she meant, but when her words finally settled in, a slight tremble went through my whole body.

Watching Pietro tremble for a moment, as he closed his beautiful eyes, Wanda still smiled gently even though anxiousness filled her heart.
They had talked about having children, and since coming to Xandar she had even stopped taking the pill, but now that it had become reality, she wasn't sure how he would react.
Suddenly Pietro stood up from the bed, clad in nothing but his pyjama pants. Leaving the muscles on his chest and arms uncovered for her to feast her eyes on, he approached her slowly.
His eyes locked onto hers, as he did so. A loving expression in them, as silent tears of joy suddenly rolled down his cheeks.
He didn't hestitate to go down on his knees, as he pressed his forehead against her midsection.
Wanda was no longer anxious or in trepidation, as their mental bond vibrated with such intense joy and love, that it nearly blinded her other senses.
What followed were hours of gentle lovemaking, as they satisfied each others need for intimacy.
