As the people were panicking and trying to leave the presentation hall, the buzzing of the drones stopped, as a silver flash passed by. A moment later they all split apart, as if cut apart by a blade. Leaving behind nothing, but scrap parts.
And just like that silence descended for a quiet moment of disbelief, that all those witnessing this event shared.
'Pietro Maximoff!'
Tony, in his armor, was the only one that realised what had just happened and with that knowledge came a wave of relief and guilt.
Over the last few days, Tony had not only been able to create a new element to replace the Palladium in his chest piece, but he had also dug up all he could about the Maximoff twins. And what he had found, had replaced his indignation with nothing but guilt and shame.
Knowing that they were here, Tony's mind reflexively recalled a few scenes from the last few days.

“... Somtimes I wonder what Yinsen would think if he saw you like that...”
“... Because that is what you do, you bring death and destruction, or you enable others to do exactly that...”
“... Those weapons were then used by the United States Air Force in the Bombing of Novi Grad, which had taken the lives of hundreds of civilians, among them our parents...”
“... I am not my brother, Mr. Stark. My hate for you is as strong, as it was the day I saw your name on that bombshell...”
“... If I ever find out about one of your new weapons being used to take the life of an innocent, I will come back here and rip you apart, limb by limb.”

“Sir, I have found an article about the Maximoff twins in an old Sokovian newspaper.”(JARVIS)
“What does it say?”(Tony)
“Apparently the family of four were having dinner together, when the first shell hit their appartment building directly killing Oleg and Iryna Maximoff, parents of the ten-year old twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. A second shell hit the building only moments later, but malfunctioned and didn't go off, sparing the Maximoff siblings from certain death. They were then rescued two days later, with the malfunctioned shell being found only a few feet away from their hiding spot and perfectly visible from there.”(JARVIS)

Knowledge of their history had changed Stark's view of their meeting drastically. Even now he could hardly believe that they didn't just kill him or Rhodey.
Rhodey was a Colonel of the United States Air Force, the very same military force that had carried out the air raids in Novi Grad. And yet, the girl had only hypnotized him to go home and sleep.
And even if he was sure that it was the last thing they meant to do, they had saved him. They had saved him from himself. Their words igniting in him the will to truly change and leave behind something that he could be proud of and not just another weapon.
He had also planned to rework his complete security system. Never again would someone just take one of his suits like Rhodey had done.
Wanda Maximoff's threat wasn't an empty one, THAT he was sure of.
His short introspective was broken though, as a red light started blinking on cut up drone parts. Contrary to people in movies, the people in the hall didn't have to be told what that meant.
It seemed that Vanko had built in a self-destruct sequence into the drones.
The guests and visitors suddenly grew more frenzied as they tried to run, but mere seconds weren't enough for them to leave the building.
And even Stark only had time to fly over to Pepper and bring her out of the explosion radius.
*BOOOOM*
A massive explosion shocked the whole place, but surprisingly enough the people were unharmed. The few that had noticed the futility of trying to escape, had a clear view on what happened.
Moments before the explosions had set off, a red veil of energy had surrounded the broken drones and armor. Lifting them up into the air, breaking the glass ceiling on its way.
Still, even as relief and joy settled in the poeple's hearts, they all asked themselves the same question.
“Who had saved us?”
Yet none of them had noticed the ash-blonde warrior and the scarlet-clad witch.
None but Tony, whose suit had automatically scanned his surroundings and finally allowed him to catch a glimpse of the Maximoff twins.
They stood at the edge of the audience in a small shadowed corner. Red energy still swirling around the girl's arm, while Pietro Maximoff stood behind her. His arms wrapped protectively around Wanda Maximoff. A moment later though they were already gone in a flash of silver.
Suddenly a message was displayed on his interface, reading: Ivan Vanko is at the Hammer Industries Headquarters. Break a leg.
Tony knew that this message was definitely from the twins and a strong suspicion told him that they really wanted him to break his leg while taking care of Vanko and was not meant as encouragement.

Arriving with Wanda in my arms back at the house, after taking care of the drones at the Expo, I set her down softly with her front facing my own.
“Now that that is taken care of, I wonder what we should do with the rest of our night?”, I asked Wanda while grinning mischieviously, while embracing her and pressing her against me.
“Do you think Stark will win against Vanko?”, Wanda asked instead of responding to my attempted flirting, while placing her palm on my chest and looking up at me with a slight frown.
“He will. His suits arsenal is practically full and his new Miniature Arc Reactor is incredible efficient. He will have no problem dealing with Vanko in that state. Otherwise I wouldn't have let him take care of that crazy Russian. Sparing Vanko once was already enough. Still, SILVER will interfere should things turn south. It shouldn't be a problem for her to activate Vanko's self-destruct sequence.”, I assured her confidently.
I knew I was right, as the one-time use lasers of Stark's armor were more than enough to defeat Vanko. But in case, he hadn't equipped them, I wasn't going to let Vanko roam around freely. Vanko was fated to die today and I wouldn't allow anything to stop that from happening.
“I believe you.”, Wanda answered qietly and stressed her words with a soft kiss.
“I doubt there ever was a person, who loved another human being more than I love you.”, I whispered back, as her lips left mine for a moment.
“Yes, there is.”, she whispered back while her lips found mine again.
We didn't plan to speak much more for the rest of the evening. Most of our communication worked non-verbal anyway, or with emotions we sent each other over our mental bond. And right now this bond was vibrating with desire and need.
Placing my hands to her sides, I slowly slid them upwards until they reached her chest. Gripping the rim of her evening dress, I simply couldn't help myself and ripped it from her perfect body.
I didn't stop there though, her bra and panties falling victim to my impatience soon after. Now she only wore her stockings and heels. Wanda hadn't just been passive either, as she had stripped away my jacket and tie, before opening my shirt.
The next few minutes I was content with simply tasting her neck and breasts with my mouth, while leaving behind small marks on her otherwise flawless skin.
Meanwhile she had opened the zipper on on my pants and pulled out my member. Stroking it slowly, while leaving a trail of wet kisses on my chest.
Having had enough foreplay, I took hold of Wanda's sides and turned her around. Pressing myself against her back, one of my arms wrapped itself around her torso with my right hand landing on her left breast, softly kneading her flesh and teasing her aerola. My other arm lay over her waist and reached down to her slit.
Wanda herself had coiled one of her arms backwards to bury her hand in my hair and pull my mouth down towards her waiting lips. Her other hand had reached between her legs and was slowly guiding my member into her tight cave.
At some point I had started to thrust forward, with her grinding her hips back into my groin.
The air was filled with the muffled sounds of her sweet moans and cries of pleasure, along with my heavy breathing.
It took a few hours for our passion to cool down somewhat and we eventually settled down on the bed.
