“Let me be there for you. I beg you, brother.”
Hearing these words and feeling her warmth seep into me from my back, my already cracked defenses simply shattered.
“I-I killed people today, Wanda. I murdered them in cold-blood for their wealth.”, I said with an empty tone and could feel her tense up immediately after.
“Who? Who did you...kill?”, she asked me with a low voice, swallowing hard at the last word.
“The Red Gang.”
“You fought against armed criminals?! You promised to do nothing stupid, you promised.”, accused Wanda, tensing up for a whole different reason, while her grip around my torso tightened.
“I am fine. I kept my promise.”
“Fine?! How can you say that, after what just happened?! How are you fine, brother?”
This time Wanda gripped my sides and forced me to turn around, while striking my chest with her small fists. Looking up at me with tears in her eyes visible even through the water jet.
Unable to stop myself, I pulled her into a tight hug.
“Sigh. Forgive me, Wanda. Don't cry, please.”, I whispered into the crook of her neck.
“Don't console me. I should be the one consoling you, you idiot.”, she mumbled back, while resting her head against my chest.
“You do that by simply being here with me, Wanda.”
Raising her head, she looked into my eyes and asked with faint hope in her voice.
“Really?”
Pressing my forehead against hers, I replied.
“Yes, you do. After doing what I did, I felt lost and stained. But right now, I feel at home. At peace.”
“Then why did you avoid me these past few days, brother? What is it that weighs on your heart?”, Wanda questioned in a soft voice, while her hand came to rest above my heart. Each word she spoke, I could feel her breath brushing past my lips.
I knew this was the breaking point. There was no coming back from this, if I decided to tell her the truth. But I didn't care anymore.
Morality went out of the window, when I decided to kill these people for their wealth, not matter their criminal history.
This was my new life, a new chance for me to be happy, to feel some semblance of fulfillment. And nothing ever felt as fullfilling as embracing her, and I doubted it ever will.
Taking a step back and turning off the water that had started to get colder. looked her in the eyes, as I confessed to her the truth.
“When I was sick a few days ago, I had visions. Visions of another time, of another life. These visions stayed with me, they became part of me. Along with a few other things.”
“...your hair and eyes...”, she whispered.
“Yes, for example these two. It also gave me supernatural speed. But what changed the most about myself, isn't any of these things. It's you, Wanda. Before these vision, you were my family. The most important person in my life. My sister, my soulmate.”
“...and now?...”, Wanda whispered fearfully, afraid of the answer. Her hand tightly pressed into her chest.
“Now, you are more than that.”
“...Pietro, wha-...”, she mumbled, behind her hands that covered her mouth
“I love you, Wanda Maximoff.”, I declared in an unshakable voice, while looking directly into her eyes.
Eyes that had started tearing up again to my shock, until I realised they were tears of joy, when she responded in a soft voice.
“I love you too, Pietro.”
The world slowed to a crawl, as I tried to burn this moment into my memory for eternity.
In response to her answer, I stepped towards her and embraced her again, though this time it felt different. It felt whole.
Lifting her from her feet, I stepped out of the shower with her and placed her down for a short moment, before wrapping a towel around her.
“Please, enough with the tears. You break my heart, Wanda.”, I whispered into her ears, while she just closed her eyes and rested her head against my chest.
“I-I'm sorry. I just feel so happy right now.”, she whispered back softly.
“It's okay. How about we change into some dry clothes though? This is getting uncomfortable.”
“You are right. Let me just get so-”
Before she could finish her words, I was already back before her - dry and in fresh clothes.
“Theses are for you.”, I said, while passing her one of my shirts and a pair her panties, both white.
Overcoming her surprise quickly, she replied.
“This is really some ridiculous speed, brother.”
“I know. Here, let me help you.”
Saying so, I slowly took the towel off her shoulders and unhooked her bra. Giving her plenty of opportunity to stop me, but she didn't. She even moved her arms up, so I could strip it off completely. And while doing so, reveal her perfect breasts.
“You missed one piece.”, she said with a bravery I didn't expect from her.

At her reply, I used my speed and brought us to my room. There, she pulled me with her towards my bed. Crawling under the sheets, while gesturing for me to follow her, which I gladly did after switching off the lights.
Moving under the covers, I again wrapped my arm around her small waist and pulled her close.
