You're just a sniper! You don't need training, CQC, you're never threatened. Your life is easy compared to the front line soldier!
There are few things more wrong.
Snipers have to get to their position. Working alone, they may end up running into any conceivable situation that has to be dealt with. They need to be trained and prepared for absolutely anything. If anything, snipers may well be the strongest and hardiest soldiers there are.
