Not a spoiler, because those who followed pop culture at the time were well aware of it: the summer before the next season is when Chris Pratt started shooting Guardians of the Galaxy in the UK.

Ron and Diane aren't married; the big wedding this season was Ben & Leslie. I do think the casting of Lucy Lawless as Diane is truly inspired -- they needed someone who, in her quiet way, is a match for his big presence, and they found her.
