Seems like this director is a genius at building atmospheres like this. We can't wait to tackle the Dune movies.

When I heard Denis Villeneuve was going to make DUNE, I knew because of this movie (and Arrival) that he would smash it, and he most certainly did.

I've never seen a 200 million dollar film feel so lonely quiet and atmospheric, I think it ranks as the best cinema experience I ever had, the sea wall fight, I went to see it in a near empty cinema in the middle of snowy winter in a town I wasn't familiar with I came out to afterwards. I was thinking about everything in it for weeks and weeks afterwards. I think it's the one of the very very few times a film felt wondrous to adult me, in the way kids absorb a film so totally like it were really happening.
