Yeh his acting in this was amazing, i hadn't see him in anything since the Indiana Jones, is he in the Goonies, i don think we have seen that need to double check

oh really 🤣, that part was funny. Visually it is a stunning movie, they did a great job with the ending

Also, I know you praised the movie in all kinds of ways (rightly so), but how about a special word of appreciation for Ke Huy Quan? It's really amazing to think about someone who got two high-profile acting jobs as a kid (Goonies and Indiana Jones) then couldn't get another good role and left acting for 20 years or more, and then came back to deliver a powerful and moving performance like Waymond. I've watched maybe 20 YT Reactions to the film, and his final "be kind" and "laundry and taxes with you" speeches invariably reduce even the toughest tough guy to helpless tears.

The directors, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, are an ongoing team known collectively as "Daniels." They both made brief appearances in the movie (Scheinert as the skinny man who likes to be spanked). It was shot for an amazingly low budget in early 2020, most of it in one building that served as the IRS offices and some other locations as well. They had to stop shooting one day early due to lockdown, and they managed to make up that day in various creative ways, and then had 2 years (because they wanted a true theatrical release) to perfect the editing, color-matching, etc. It's an amazing achievement.
