LONG time truther of the 1975 here, ive had the privilege of seeing them 5 times so far, and you're right about TOOTIME being the second or maybe third single? lol i remember a lot of confusion at the beginning of this era and mixed reactions from people who are die hard for their original sound. i'll admit i've felt differently from the start, this was ultimately the next level in experimentation for them which i LOVED. matty's songwriting is undoubtedly more cinematic and layered through these past two albums but i believe this was recorded during a lot of political and civil unrest, i can just feel it here. i like america and america likes me is one of their best tracks imo! okay gushing concluded, im stoked to see what's next :)

I got to see them on tour during this era! Probably my favorite concert I’ve ever been to. He had dancers during LIIWMI and had his own choreo. Loved it! (Tickets were super affordable too lol)

I will have a cup of coffee in the morning with my mom and her and I make sleepy time tea at night! We both use a valerian root (passion flower) tea, and we like to add a tincture of valerian root, and I use a stress ease cinnamon tea as well! The cinnamon and passionflower is a good tasting combo;)

I'd really love it if you did The Neighbourhood's first album, "I Love You." I think it was a really great debut album that you would probably enjoy. (I'm slightly biased because my friend was the drummer for the band at the time and helped write a lot of the album, but it still is a good record regardless haha)

Thanks for doing this one. I wasn’t a big fan of I like America and America likes me at first, but it’s grown to be my favourite song, you can hear the passion in Mattys voice. I would definitely recommend searching up the “Live Video” version of this song, it’s less jarring and the vocals are even more incredible. I think you might enjoy it a bit more

fun fact 'I Couldn't Be More In Love' is about the fans and Matty's fear of losing them. he actually recorded the vocals the day before he left for rehab and they decided to keep them because of how vulnerable and raw they were <3

I’m a HUGE the 1975 fan and this album definitely grew on me since it’s initial release. Was such a departure from their first two albums for me at the time, but when I look and listen back, it’s so totally them and such a crucial album in their discography! Has some of my favorites of all time on it!!! Super excited to see y’all eventually cover the other 3 albums, especially self titled! ⬛️🖤 Appreciate y’all

i remember feeling very similar to connor when this album first came out! it was so outside the range of anything they’d ever done that it didn’t feel like them at first. after seeing them a few times in concert and seeing their evolution, this album now contains some of my favorites. cheers guys! love from ohio 🫶🏼
