Gray

Please listen to Dijon! He’s such a great artist and you guys would love him! Absolutely is a great album! He’s got such good songs on there that I still have in my frequent repeats

Anniecia

PENGUIN GUY LMAOO. thats badzt maruuu from sanrio. I love sanrio characters. connor is kinda like badzt so this makes sense lol

Dru Pavon

I need to know that you have watched his live performance music videos on his YouTube

beatamina

Dijon should be the name of the little penguin

YungWrath

Dance party with headphones is a “silent disco!”

YungWrath

You guys gotta listen to Dijon - Absolutely!

Fiona Nelson

I just saw him live last week and it was a spiritual event. Breakthespell literally brought me to tears. If you’re on the fence seeing live will change you

Josh Hollanshead

no shit, pops can play guitar eh

Ian

Just saw mkgee in concert, played DNM 12 times total 😂

tiiiiiiiiina

Name the little guy pesto, after the fluffy legend himself. Or maybe hummus to mix it up, gotta be a dip/sauce though that's for sure.

marco

praying you guys witness live versions. the album is amazing but live is even better. I’d go to a different country for it. I had the same exact reaction to Rylee & I at first, but after seeing it live it’s easily one of my favorite songs on the album.

richard apollo

Yall gotta listen to some of the live versions. Does waaaaay more justice to what he’s making. He needa stop playing and drop the live version on streaming. Just got to the part where Kevin says he wants to see how he does it live, luckily bro has all the best songs live versions on his YouTube channel. The Alesis and Candy ones are awesome.

Jayke

Need Dijon

Jess DeCoux

Pleaaasseee check out a Mars Volta album, either of the first 3 albums

Edvin Kadric

love mkgeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Eivind

Please do a follow up, AOTY for me, think listening through without breaks will enhance the experience. Enjoyed your reaction

BO Kayak

Love this, was hoping this reaction would happen. Was thinking it was finally gonna happen w/ his latest blow-up and alas it did! Mk.gee got me through quarantine and has remained in my life. So glad to be here now. AUGH! Though the pronunciation!! I'd look at his 2018 album for clarification. Also LOL putting in a little recommendation for you guys to check out Portraits of Tracy. Insane sound, awesome music. Would really love to see you react to Drive Home (Or the Parting Gifts version) or just please check out a song or two. Heard yall mention storytelling in this and think you'd find so much of that in that album.

Lousin Derkhorenian

Been asking for System of a Down in YouTube comments forever :( maybe you guys can both react for the first time if you’ve never heard them before! The bands reaction videos get a lot of views and you’re guaranteed never to have heard a sound like them before!!

alex

So glad y’all listened to this album! I found mkgee right after he dropped this album, and I’ve fallen in love with the rest of his music since. Definitely one of the most influential artists of my 2024. Would love to hear you guys explore his earlier discography - I think Kevin would find the album fool really fun to listen to. Museum of contradiction is one of my favorites as well. Regardless I think you guys would have a lot of fun comparing and contrasting his earlier work to this newest album! Thanks for a fun listen!

Jordan Blue

Please do Lady Gaga’s deluxe album Joanne since she’s said she’ll be releasing new music and a tour soon!!!!! PLEASEEEE Kevin you’ll eat it up

Christian Gabon

great reason

Christian Gabon

Absolutely

Christian Gabon

Dijon-Absolutely is a must after this. I would even give Dijon a slight similar to Frank Ocean in terms of experimentation in production and even vocals

Blonded

Even the live versions?

yellowflannel

Not a fan of production on this album unfortunately

Alex Giroux

I would say the real magic is in the live versions of the songs on YouTube!! Highly suggest because it brings a completely different energy to some of the songs.

Ryan

do absolutely by dijon if you liked this! mk.gee produces on there and dijon is an excellent vocalist, artist, and writer as well. lovely album overall

Michael Gerdes

Danny Brown said it best: “Bitch pussy smell like a penguin”. I think you should name the little penguin creature Danny Brown after such a generational bar.

VibeWithDal

Regarding the top 10 2024 albums. I’m demanding a reaction to EMPATHOGEN by WILLOW 🤭 you two definitely have to give it a chance before you both make final decisions in December

VibeWithDal

The piano and guitar use really do resemble The album Purple Rain by Prince it’s as if the instruments are drowning in the mix ( in my imagination the sounds have a ripple effect). Definitely feeling Frank ocean lyrically and melodically too

VibeWithDal

Subway surfer game play 😂

Blonded

I was talking about Two star too lol. It’s on preorder on Diggers factory. It says sold out right now but they restock during every show he’s doing since they were for tour but ran out of copies so now they’re for preorder.

ayo

is the kids see ghost full video not up anymore?

Daniel Remian

I was talking about a Two Star vinyl, not Absolutely.

Blonded

Vinyl repress is currently out now for pre order on green vinyl

Blonded

You guys HAVE to react to the live videos for this album on his youtube they’re almost all completely different songs.

Noah Peralta

PLEASE do Absolutely by Dijon, without a doubt one of the best albums I've ever been blessed to listen to

Rowan

You guys should do more the weeknd before his next album drops

Zavier Hagen

https://youtu.be/Jfrmng_5t_0?si=V8FHKBH4AxqcrEVj

Zavier Hagen

got the patreon for this. best album ever, a dude took a high quality mic to a show and recorded at howard theater so it’s like a live album. give it a listen on youtube, even better than studio version

toodee

haha no 😆

VibeWithDal

Lmao like Moe Lester ?

TTT

💥🍆

Private Tristan Bongo

Mk.GEE!!! Thank you for this. I think its only fair to move on to GEEse now! 3d country could be kevin's wheelhouse/blow his cock off

Cameron Butler

Romance by Fontaines ! this is top 3 within the last couple of years btw haha, top 3 OAT would probably just be three Radiohead albums haha

William

What’s the third?

Tevin Keo

Yall gotta watch the live versions

Ryleezy

Music 2

Darcy O'Shannessy

My god I’ve been praying for this day. Messaged Kevin asking you guys to look at Dijon a couple years ago but this is a step in the right direction!

etgima

kevin playing guitar was awesome !!

Daniel Remian

Finally, my favorite album of the year. Can’t wait for the vinyl restock casue Connor you’re right. This is such a good listen top to bottom in one go. A vinyl will take it to another level. Mike co-produced, co-wrote and played on Dijon’s Absolutely record which is also a must listen. These guys are so good at making something fresh, raw and unique. You gotta check out the Absolutely short film while you’re at it. It’s on YT and just makes you appreciate that album even more. They both opened for Bon Iver I believe, so that’s where the inspiration might come from. Mike’s previous EP’s and mixtapes are also very good btw. :) Thanks for the listen guys, loved your insight. I’m gonna go play Two Star for the gazillionth time. 😅

Tadhg

Started listening to Mk.Gee at the end of May. 2 Star is now my second most listened to album of all time on Spotify. My favourite artist around at the moment. Cannot wait to see him in London. Great video again guys! ❤️‍🔥

bianca

linking some interviews/live videos below!!!! really hope you guys watch :) this reaction meant everything to me, thank you <3 are you looking up live (honestly love this version more than the studio) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0pzzkp85-Q bbc interview where mike talks more about the album, meaning of the album, inspirations, etc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuW16YUG9rk&t=631s a little peak into his gear (around 10:30) during dijon's previous tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azF47JR6R4M really great live footage of "i want" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkSH3ZvQVXs alesis live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEYiA9b6YRg

toodee

the penguin you have is called badtz-maru but u should call him Les (lester) :)

Avery Leland

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS !!!! knew this was going to happen but i’m so thrilled y’all get to experience this beautiful album. i saw him perform in Oakland at the fox theater, and oh my goodness it was one of the best sets i’ve ever seen with my own two eyes !

Dan Anderson

you have to do Absolutely by Dijon now, that's the rules. and then Mika's Laundry by Matt Champion

yahire

This might get a lot of hate considering the demographic but I think yall should do Taylor Swift’s Folklore and Evermore they’re arguably her best work and it would be a good way to introduce Kevin to Taylor

SoupyTurtle

Fantastic album! Saw him in Seattle a few months back, definitely worth while to see! A couple older albums I would love to see a reaction to, Passion Pit - Gossamer & Foster the People - Torches

nate(shmissy)

almost died when i saw the notification

nate(shmissy)

YESSSSS! 10/10 ALBUM DIJON NEXT DIJON NEXT DIJON NEXT!!!!!!!

Rhys Bender

PS I know a lot of people are saying it but Absolutely by Dijon but that's for very good reason

pussvulture

I love you guys for this

akio

yall would go crazy for the live versions he put out on youtube, his vocals are so raw and really lets you hear him and his insane voice

TTT

Rhys Bender

I just went back to this album last week I listened to it when it came out. Kind of forgot about it. Went back and listened and I haven't been able to stop since

Noah Tonai

Colin MacDonell

i think you should name your keychain creature basil, also my brother put me on to mk.gee in 2019 and im so happy he is getting his recognition

CUNNILINGUS GRAND PRIX CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

Yall absolutely have to check out Dijon’s Absolutely. Close friend and collaborator with mk.gee, and one of my favorite albums ever, still in my top ten of the decade so far. You will not be disappointed

Shakaylah Kirifi
