Nico Draisey

Hey guys, this has become one of my favourite albums of all time and I've watched this reaction countless times 😂 PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEASE do their first album Mercurial World. I need to see you listen to it, you won't regret it!!! Big fan x

Niko Gonzalez

please react to this is how tomorrow moves by beabadoobee

Harry

finally got around to this. incredible album

Ben Dillon

her voice reminds me of beabadoobee, you guys should totally give her a listen

Mega

I had to go back after watching the podcast first because man, I felt completely the same on my first listen, it brought me back to middle school jamming out to RAM in my room. What a beautiful album, Matt and Mica are absolute MASTERS of their craft

ari

second this!

Timid Frequencies

Agreed. "Hysterical Us" would most certainly receive the highly coveted Kevin Clap

Memo Mondaca

Which reminds me, you guys should check out the Deluxe version of Desire, I Want To Turn Into You!

Memo Mondaca

The use of motifs in this album was a very awesome touch! Reminded me a bit of Caroline Polachek. Pop is SO back this year!

teyonie

Mica's voice reminds me of the lead singer from The Cardigans

Gavin S

Would definetly suggest Traumatic Livelihood by Jazmin Bean really cool album. Imaginal Disc is top 5 of this year for me, keep it up guys

kai

i know im a little late to this, but i can’t thank u guys enough for reacting to this because otherwise, this wouldve been an album i just skipped over and now its easily in my top 3 for the year i just cant get enough of it so thank u!!!

Ian

Unexpectedly loved this listen! If you like the crazy synths and random changes, you should give DECIDE by Djo a listen :)

kai

I second this!!!!

Gabriel Guerrera

i've been lintening to them for a while and i'm so glad that you guys liked it. THIS ALBUM IS GREAT

Elijah Gould

Sad. I saw them tweet that they would in March but maybe there's a reason. Still one of my fav of the year

Madden

i don't think it's happening at this point :< maybe vanisher

Diego

are you guys still planning on listening to scrapyard by quadeca?

Patrick Davis

I was excited to see your reactions to Cry for Me cause I've been so obsessed with it lately and wow, ngl I got a little teary-eyed when Kevin said "FUCK, music is great, man". I couldn't have said it better myself. Music is fucking great, man ❤️

Jack D Fritts

Love the reaction! You guys should do some Porter Robinson sometime!

Jordan Mullins

Second this!

Franco Graubard

I know it’s an older album and newer and more in-demand albums take precedence but I can imagine the love you guys will have for that record

Franco Graubard

i’m rewatching this again bc just seeing your reactions to this I loved so much but also hearing Kevin mention Secrets (Your Fire) made me tingle at the idea of a Mercurial World reaction

Jamie Bekins

ok now you need to listen to Porter Robinson's album nurture. I remember yall talking about it a while ago but if you like this album i think you will like porter

Cooper

Really need to express my thanks to anyone who requested and to you guys for listening so quickly! I'd heard a couple of mag bay's songs prior to this album, but this was never on my radar and I definitely would have overlooked it if not for this reaction. what a beautiful experience

Diego Pumarino

Kev's reaction to Death & Romance was everything

Private Tristan Bongo

oh my gosh ive been waiting for this one. thank you so much. 3d country geese next please

Tyler

Death & Romance easily jumped into my top 5. What a track. Forgot about these guys but their sound is so unique. Love the reactions to it, reminds me of Lets Start Here from Yatchy last year. Cheers

Doğa Yücel

I rarely feel like I’m exploding while listening to an album, and this album does a great job at it. Usually it’s ignored by the online music people but parcels live vol 1 has great moments that make you lose it. I’d love to see a reaction to that!!

Griff Dowden

Think we need a full Mercurial World listen now

Briana Padilla

I’m so so so happy you guys listened to this! It’s my favorite album this year for sure 💕

Quincy Pierre

react to a great chaos by ken carson

The Gr8 Scott

I kindof agree that it feels like the posture of someone pulling out a disk with the fingertips. But for some reason the vibes just make me feel like it's going in.

Hmm idk

I love magdalena bay and been following them since mercurial world. You should listen to that and the EP they droped last year called mini mix vol 3. I actually prefer these projects to the new album because its so uplifting to me. The new album is amazing tho and i loved watching your reaction 🙏

Edward Healy

Been in love with Magdalena Bay since Mercurial World came out. I really recommend that album as well. And I can confirm they are phenomenal live. In my top 5 best concerts I've attended. Sadly they are not coming to Montreal this time around :( Enjoy the concert in Vancouver!! It's 100% worth it

Jaysee M

Did you guys go and see them live?? I have tickets to see them here in Atlanta!

Jimmy Hayes

This album is straight-up magical! Also, I don't know if Kevin gets this often, but he kind of looks like Josh Homme's long-lost brother lol (a compliment!) which is also a way of me saying do Queens of the Stone Age songs for the deaf!!

Zahra

Magdalena Bay sent me to synth-pop heaven when I first heard Dreamcatching!! If it's drums you want then I'd wholly recommend If I Can't Have Love I Want Power by Halsey (w/NIN), maybe listen to Easier than Lying as a taster). Also, I can't remember what reaction it was but I think Kevin mentioned liking Raye, another Amy Winehouse-esque Londoner would be Joy Crookes!

hallucane

wall of sound + gentle voice feels like Sleigh Bells!

Sam Panfil

Secrets (your fire) was the only song I knew from them before this album, it was just a random Spotify suggestion

Gardner Mobley

Just something I thought y’all would be super interested in: Matt and Mica stream on YouTube and Twitch a lot and they have production breakdowns for literally ALL of their previous projects. HOPEFULLY the breakdown for this comes soon but I recommend keepin an eye out if ur interested!

Colby Kultgen

Great album

purplelinks

no offense but for me it looks like this " illumaniti devil hand " TAKES the cd out of her head and not puts it in , maybe im wrong but for me looks like that , lets argue

Trey Buckner

Very recently listened to their first album for the first time and was blown away by it! So glad y’all did this one, this was my first time hearing this album and it’s really something special. Will deff be returning to this many many times. Still asking for you to do LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - self titled album!!!! Please please please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

purplelinks

never heard of magdalena bay

Nic S

Glad you guys got my messenger pigeon! What a phenomenal piece of art man ive had this shit on repeat since it came out. Kills me I wont be able to make either of the chicago shows so let me know how they were live

Isaac Sargent

Second this!! Great album!

Franco Graubard

saw you guys posted this as i was driving to Tampa for Gambino, and now finally got to watch this after that terrible drive back (unbelievable show tho) so so so glad y’all loved this experience of an album❤️

Deen Tristan

Been waiting for this one! Had it on repeat since it came out. Hard to describe the album sonically but this album feels like KKB's Time 'n' Place by way of Random Access Memories.

Matthis Peterson

Would love to see Conditions by The Temper Trap , i think a lot of people are sleeping on this and its my favorite album ever :) love you guys <3

yellowflannel

That was great reaction, thanks guys! I did my part spamming Connor on Twitter to react to it :)

Pedro Henrique

this one is SPECIAL

Lotheru

It's here, imagine a disk......

Scot Push

let’s goooo

yellowflannel

Nice!

Cage Anon

I was a HUGE fan of Mercurial World, and I wasn't sure if this was better at first because it wasn't as immediately catchy. But each time I find something that I appreciate more and more and every Kevingasm moment (SORRY) just hits harder. Perfect scored album for me guys, AOTY!!!

Kasper Sloth

You should give Care for me by Saba, very impressive storytelling - if not the whole album, PROM/KING is the highlight

Ed

yes yes YES

George TJ

So incredibly pumped you guys listened to this. This album is amazing and genuinely made me feel transported to a whole new world. Crazy good album, and its maybe my AOTY Which is crazy cause like Kevin said the past year+ has been amazing for music, and pop specifically. I thought we would have peaked with BRAT. Mag Bay has a bit of a cult following and I heard Mercurial World when an excited fan put me on a year ago. I perfer Imaginal Disk a ton atm but it would still be a great listen! I think at some point you guys should revisit Anderson Paak and his project that came out earlier this year too btw

Dawson Hook

what a start to the month!!🙏

Tucker Storrs

I've commented this on a few videos before, but I think the album that will best blow your nuts off in the same way this one did, is the Parcels album Day/Night. It's basically the halfway point between Random Access Memories and Pink Floyd. Absolutely insane instrumental texture, with soaring group vocals from the 5 lads. It has so many ideas that it explorers, yet stays rooted in a 70s disco-inspired bedrock. Hell, Daft Punk's last credit before breaking up was producing a single off their debut album! I think I dm'ed Kevin about it on Discord a while back 😅

ActualKuma

In a livestream Mica said that yachty heard love is everywhere and asked them for the instrumental if you were wondering what song came first.

Tucker Storrs

"I need a toke" at the end of Death and Romance is the most relatable shit ever 🤣 Absolutely love that song, as someone who has Mercurial World as a 9/10 album, this album absolutely lives up to its predecessor.

l30 D4vid

everytime i listen to this album its new experience omgg

Liam Rafferty

Kevin picking up on the prog changes is super on point. They were in a prog band prior to this project. They cite a lot of prog bands as influences.

Cole Helvey

Love that we got to share this experience with you guys. This album feels so special.

Liam Rafferty

I was 2 seconds away from sending yall a DM on Twitter telling you to do this record before I saw this post lol. This and Romance have been the only records I can think about since they come out.
