I personally started off with 'Dead ahead: Zombie warfare' animations. The best resource (if you ha e specific goals in mind) you can use is other people's work for reference. If there's something you like, break it down frame by frame to find out how they achieved that effect and try it out yourself. Second best is YouTube tutorials.
