Gift of Hedone - Why haven't we seen any villages/environments?

I just wanted to share this, just in case I had no addressed it yet. One of my favourite games is Witcher 3 - and I was captivated by its world building, so I was curious about how they did it - and one thing that resonated with me was that, they didn't build the environment first, then populate this with people, but instead determined what people they needed/wanted then build the environment around this.
This is the approach I am trying to take, and feel as though i'm getting close to the different characters you will meet in each town.

It is better to have the world be smaller but more lived in than big and empty. Take your time. Quality over quantity please
