Thank you to everyone who voted on the Poll regarding the learning journey of the game development part.
I wanted to share the 4 Learning Courses I plan to do:
1. Ultimate Unity Overview (70+ Tools and Features Explained!) | Udemy 14 Hours
2. Unity C# Scripting : Complete C# For Unity Game Development | Udemy 27 Hours
3. C# Unity Developer 2D Coding: Learn to Code Video Games | Udemy 18 Hours
4. Complete 2D Platformer in Unity C# | Udemy 15 Hours
5. The Ultimate Guide to Creating an RPG Game in Unity | Udemy 38 Hours
Total Learning - 112 Hours
1. As you can see in the image I have done 10% of this, but truthfully a lot of the learnings in this course I don't think will be too applicable for 2D, it seems to have a bigger focus on 3D
2. I am LOVING this one so far, it is amazing!! I am 25% of the way through this and there is just so much good coding learning here - will likely hare my thoughts once completed, but wow!
3. Whilst I have done some of this learning, I will be looking to finish the 2nd course first, before tackling this, as I think it will be a great course to put what was learnt in the C# course to use - help reinforce.
4. Once 2 & 3 are complete, I think i will have a good framework of Unity and C# I hope to then actually understand how to apply things to an Platformer, and then an RPG
Im also in discussions with my work about getting approval for a full month of unpaid leave so I can dedicate to fast-tracking my learning. Because the sooner I learn, the more I can do!
I just said it was for a big project.... not telling work its because im working on a lewd game haha
